I'M GOING TO HAVE TO DISAGREE. THOUGH THE EPISODE WAS GOOD IT WAS FAR FROM GREAT. A COUPLE OF NEW STORY ELEMENTS WERE INTRODUCED WHICH COULD BE BOTH GOOD AND BACK CONSIDERING THIS IS THE SEASON TO WRAP THINGS UP.

FROM INTERVIEWS WE KNOW THAT STARBUCK IS NOT A CYLON. THAT IS THE ONE PROTECTED CHARACTER ON THE SHOW MUCH LIKE LUKE SKYWALKER IS TO THE EU. HOWEVER, SHE COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY. ANYBODY REMEMBER THE GLOWING, SPIRIT-LIKE ALIENS FROM THE ORIGINAL SERIES?

I just thought of this and have brought it up before. Her arc is very similar to the War of the Gods arc from the original, where Starbuck's ship is overtaken by that crystalline ship of lights, and those fruity angelic type characters who had their faces covered. Also, Count Iblis was the bad guy telling them he'd take them to Earth.

I hope it's Zelda. Unless they completely overhaul the design of recent Donkey Kong games, I don't think one of those will get gamers excited at all.

Besides, there's been no Zelda news since Phantom Hourglass came out, which makes it the first time since 2000 or 2001 when there's NOT been at least one Zelda announced.

(Majora's Mask came out in 2000, the Oracle games in 2001; Wind Waker was announced that year, and Four Sword Adventure and Minish Cap were already in the works by the time it came out, and Twilight Princess was announced in 2004 at E3, with Phantom Hourglass starting well before it came out.)

It makes sense, since Twilight was essentially a GC game with Wii controls tacked on. I can see Miyamoto working on a pure Wii version simultaneously. It's either that or Wii Sports II, which someone brought up on another board.

I agree with TipTup though. I'd like to see a better "melding" of form/function on the Wiimote. Though how that could be done is anyone's guess.

Sadly, I got away from Wind Waker for quite a while and have only returned to it in the last week or so. After that I'll play OoT and hopefully MM will be on the VC.

So, what're folks reading now? Thoughts on the current status quo in the various houses of Marvel and DC?

Lots of people really pissed off about One More Day/Brand New Day. I was initially pleased with OMD, however I felt very cheated to find out it was a nice big ret-con. I'm cool with it being about Peter on his own again, etc; however, it could have been handled better, IMO.

Secret Invasion should be interesting, and I'm also enjoying the new Hulk series by Loeb.

DC - Well, I've fallen WAY behind in my DC reading. I've still got several issues of the Sinestro Corps. War to catch up on, and stalled out on Countdown near issue 20. Got to get back to it, but as always finding the time is difficult. With prices the way they are right now I'm seriously considering dropping several titles from my list. Anyone heard about Trinity? ANOTHER year long, weekly series by DC. Not this time. They've gotten enough of my $$ over the past two years to try that again.

I love the episode when she gets sprayed by the hose outside on the street and Kramer accuses her of trying to attract attention to herself

I didn't care for the later look she had with the short curly hair. I liked it when it was more straight and pulled up. The curly/short later in the series made her look bad, IMO. I just remember the "Ketchup Secret" moment and drool...

I don't see him doing it long term, though I like him as an actor.

The show for me was good, not great. Way too many problems later on. As usual, people being executed in motel parking lots, villains running around with machine guns, cars locked in death races on the road and nary a cop or another person in site. Plus the usual non-descript Euro-bad guy, along with his non-descript Asian henchman, along with the totally non-stereotypical computer hacker with the horn-rimmed glasses. Please oh please.

On the bright side I loved the car, the story was obviously well thought out (the implementation sucked), the main actors didn't repulse me too much. I'll give it a shot if it goes to series.

Can't wait to see what happens next.

Last night's was on par with their better work. Definitely good, and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. The party you're referring to, the whisperings, was very creepy. Well done. Now if only the WGA strike can get resolved quickly so they can get back into production, I'll be happy.
