Star Wars TV Series Confirmed & Hamill Talks 7, 8 and 9

RICK McCALLUM HAD BEEN QUOTED IN AN ISSUE OF STAR WARS INSIDER THAT THE TV SERIES WOULD TAKE PLACE PRE-PT MEANING THAT IT COULD VERY WELL BE DURING THE SITH ERA. I BELIEVE THAT WOULD BE THE BEST TIME PERIOD FOR THE SERIES AS THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO TIE IT INTO MOVIES OR MORE SPECIFICALLY THE CHARACTERS WE KNOW. IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY SHOULD DECIDE TO GO I BELIEVE IT COULD BE DONE RIGHT. LOOK AT FARSCAPE FOR EXAMPLE. THE SFX IN THE SHOW WERE PRETTY DAMN GOOD ESPECIALLY FOR THE BUDGET THEY HAD, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT THE BUDGET FOR A SW TV SERIES WOULD BE MASSIVE.

it would also work some time after ROTJ.....if it was long enough after, mark hamill could do some cameo's...ya think..??

General DVD Talk

I notice that on DTS tracks, the subwoofer is MUCH more powerful, even to the point of being distracting. Also, the quiet parts are REALLY quiet and the loud parts are REALLY REALLY loud. The dialogue is so soft that you have to turn up the volume to hear it and when a loud part comes I have to quickly turn it down because I have neighbors, plus I fear it might damage my speakers.

i'm not sure what kind of DVD player you have but on mine if you go into the DVD player setup menu it has a "dolby digital setup" tab
and in there is a "dynamic range" setting that ajusts your "dynamic range compression"...most likely if you have this setting it is set to full....if you set this down some the "loud volume...soft volume" effect wont be nearly so dramatic

Thats because the general public in the United States cannot stand those "black bars" that "take up the whole picture." Dumbasses.

I happen to be one the general public "Dumbasses" who happen to love those "black bars" that "take up the whole picture" thank you very much..!!

widescreen is the only way to go

and i'm not the only on who feels that way
it's not the public, it's the film company and distributers who push for the pan and scan shit
