Where can one find 4k77 and the others ?

Mod edit: Let’s try to be a little more helpful.

that wasn’t in any way helpful, but at least you weren’t a jerk about it.

I was helpful. You, like all the other beggars, just want a direct link. You can search duckduckgo.com and find all the movies within a few posts, factually. I have no idea why the mod thought I wasn’t being helpful. Should I just straight up post the torrent links here? Would that be more helpful and polite?

Restoration Of The Star Wars Deleted Scenes (a WIP)

About restoring the deleted scenes for the entire Original and Prequel Trilogies, I prefer my “Ultimate Edition” of the saga to be in 720p, which means I would like the deleted scenes from TPM to be in 720p as well, including the ones that made it in the post-2001 versions of the movie. Just to recap, everything must be in 720p for my Ultimate Edition of the saga. Thank you.

Yes sir, right away sir. Would you like your but wiped with rose peddles while you wait, sir?

This can’t be real…

So no one gets these perfect, or damn near perfect prints? Even you have to go in and clean them up?

I gotta tell ya, you do fantastic work man. The scans are SUPER sharp.

I was reading over in TN 1’s Silver Screen post, and people asking whether or not to get your version or theirs. I was reading that theirs are kinda blurry and more suited for projector style viewing.

How did you get the insertions for V 2.5 so sharp?

Ugh, don’t know why quoting is not working. Um, I remember seeing how an entire reel would be red, and then the after product. Scratches, dirt marks, ect…

What I meant by my comment is I thought it has little color issue and just some minor scratches and dirt.

I had seen small correspondence between Harmy and Negative 1, so I just assumed Harmy used some really clean scan of theirs. I didn’t know it was so blue or anything. The side by sides Harmy just posted is the first I’m seeing of the LPP used for ROTJ

Oh, also, if you open these two in separate tabs and switch between them, you can very nicely see that the matte painting was recomposited in the '04 (or maybe '97) version:

I will later probably post some comparisons between the raw LPP scan, the Grindhouse color correction and the v2.5 35mm shots.

Oh that would be excellent! I stare at frames trying to see things like this. I love to see how things are done, ya know? Matte lines and boxes are the bees knees!

I was not complaining. My post was in the “feedback” thread. You’re supposed to spot things and report back. Harmy is one man, and he needs help sometimes, too.

I was wrong with my post and didn’t spot anything wrong. My post was more to get clarification on a couple of things (a scene being blue, and matte-boxes).

The guy “complaining” about crushed blacks and what not can help others with his post if any others come here with the same issue. Harmy can answer, and correct, any misunderstandings. Maybe we all might learn something in the process. I know I have…

This should really put the blue-tint thing into perspective:

Look at that and tell me if v2.5 has a blue tint 😉

I was using the WP side by side to judge. Now that you have shed some light on the sepia being blasted, I guess that would explain my eye balls seeing the blue-ish tint. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Oh, and the matte-boxes as well. Only two things that really bothered me 😃

I went back to the scene and stared forever. At 11:03 as you see R2 enter the room, there is a blue light in the room. Duh… I apologize Harmy. I can’t believe I missed that.

At the risk of getting bashed for this, I’ve talked to several people who, like myself, have calibrated monitors and we all agreed that the contrast/brightness on both Empire and Jedi is way low, for some reason. SW looks perfect but both Empire and Jedi just seem to be quite dark. Did something change there?

That’s simply not true. Especially the official DVDs from 2004 are darker than anything else.

Eh, I gotta disagree. i was going to post this as a question, but I’ll put it like this. I watched the WP of ROTJ next to V 2.5 and noticed contrast was lowered. You can no longer see the matte-boxes (which is kind of disappointing) and space is all nice and black, where before it had that “contrast is high” haze to it. even with looking at the side by side gallery you can clearly see matte-boxes in space battles in GOUT, but not in V 2.5…

Was this intentional? Or was is just part of the process to pretty up the release?

Also a report. i suppose putting a time stamp is not necessary as it is a whole scene.

The scene where R2 and 3PO are in the “robot torture chamber”, the scene has a blue tint to it, the entire scene.
