I guess you can’t make this movie decent without putting in the deleted scenes. But the deleted scenes are so visually jarring cuz they aren’t even 720p
What would you say is the best AOTC fan edit out there?
Here is the first pass of Rey V Zori on Kijimi… there are couple masking issues and the first scene needs the saber to be toned down a little but pretty good for a first pass I think. I am excited get working on the first Lightsaber fight next.

Will you be doing two versions of the Exegol scenes? One with Leia’s lightsaber in blue for people to use in their own personal edits? Also, will you be adding the effect to Jonh’s Force Ghost scenes?
So I plan on really tailoring this to Hal’s edit, so definitely with the purple lightsaber and definitely with Jonh’s ghost clip.
I hadn’t really planned to do Leia’s blue lightsaber but honestly it wouldn’t take a lot of effort to do it. In fact it would be super easy as I could use the same masking work from the purple clip and replace with the blue clip, so yeah I can do Leia’s blue lightsaber for people to add to their own versions.
Ngl, at first I didn’t like the idea of the cracklin saber. But after watching all of the tests you’ve made I’m all for it.
And with Dom’s TIE clip in my greedy mitts, I should in theory be able to sync-lock the edit anytime. Seems premature to do so now, since I’ll be waiting for a little while for at least stuff from jonh.

Idk how to reply on here, but we don’t see Chewie until he is rescued so it’s not an “immediate he’s dead, nope just kidding.” Also, for the LUT, the scenes that seemed to red to me were the sunny scenes on the rebel base, especially with characters like Maz Kanata.
I’m sure it’s already been mentioned/discussed, but there’s one thing in particular that has bothered me: the “16 hours until the Final Order attack” ticking clock just pulls me out of the movie… is there any way around it? Replace it with “Soon, they will begin an assault on all free worlds” if there’s any way to stitch something like that. I dunno.
+1 For removing the ticking clock element. Star Wars never has that.

Also, Hal, I noticed in the workprint that the scene when Chewie is introduced to Hux and Pryde in the restructured Chewie reveal is now missing. Did I miss something? 🤔
The crawl is good, I’d say maybe capitalize stuff like “First Order” and “Resistance.” Exegol looks much better, which also makes the purple lightsaber not as jarring. But some of the other shots, particularly the rebel base, are very red. Personally, I would add more/different music to the lightsaber fight on the Deathstar, as the duel of the fates bit from Solo doesn’t fit well in a fight scene, IMO. The Naboo star destroyer shot at the end of the movie is a slightly different aspect ratio than the rest of the film. Those are the only critiques I have, everything else you’ve done is great.

Can you make two versions available, one with and without the crackle effect for those of us who aren’t a fan of it.
Worry about all the other problems in the movie rather than spending time on an unstable blade that doesn’t matter that much.
