Has anyone thought of starting the clone wars at the end of TPM? It would make AOTC pick up faster and give more history to the wars
I wholeheartedly agree with this. I think it works better for the story on so many levels.
What if Rey is Obi Wan’s granddaughter?
How exactly though? They would have to shoehorn in that Obi Wan had a mistress, but the Obi Wan we know was a hermit/monk. It just wouldn’t really flow well into the narrative of Star Wars. The Skywalkers are the only known Jedi to have fooled around.
That would make Rey 35-40 yrs old at minimum. I like it.
If Rey was his daughter, that math would be correct. If she is his granddaughter, as I posited, then she could easily be 19, which is her confirmed age.
Possibly an as-of-yet unknown character. Obi Wan clearly had a more-than-Jedi attachment to Satine in the Clone Wars. He was in self imposed exile on Tatooine for two decades. The Jedi order is gone and he was witness to the failings of several tenants of the order. Maybe he shacked up. Maybe he wasn’t even aware of the pregnancy and subsequent birth of his child.
