Background: In 2002, the original creator of Ren and Stimpy, John Kricfalusi, was commissioned by Spike TV (Formerly known as TNN) to create a new Ren and Stimpy series aimed at their new predominantly male audience. Unlike the original series produced by Nickelodeon, John K. was given free reign of the series. With the pressures of censorship gone, he could make the show the way he always intended. When the show finally aired in 2003, it was seen by most people as a failure. Fans were also disappointed, mostly by the first episode, Onward and Upward. In which Ren and Stimpy are portrayed as a gay couple. Most were horrified by the extreme gross out nature of this episode, feeling they had gone too far.

Problems with production of the series played a part in the show’s demise, with episodes still being finished/or not completed on time as the series premiered. It was no surprise that the series was eventually cancelled after only three episodes, with another three episodes remaining unaired. Intention of the Edit: To re-create a similar atmosphere to the original series, while still keeping the adult nature of the show. The original episodes suffered massively from poor gags and slow pacing, but most of all, the plots were stretched far too long. The new episodes will range between 11 to 15 minutes, various scenes will be trimmed down to remove the un-necessary gross for the sake of being gross/or just to be shocking.
 

Also trimming out some of the swearing, some of it works, most of the time it doesn’t. However, some scenes will have to be kept in for continuity.

*ADDED - Man’s Best Friend is now Episode 1, this episode serves as a transition for the new episodes (this episode was originally aired as part of the new series on Spike TV). Also, the edited fade out after Stimpy jumps off the couch is gone. Onward and Upward
*CUT - No mention of Ren and Stimpy sleeping together.
*CUT - Ren shoving a Rat’s butt in Stimpy’s face to kiss it *CUT - The uvula flapping around in Ren’s butt. *CUT - The customers in the bar spitting into the spitoon to make Ren and Stimpy’s dinner CUT - All references to ‘I’m the pitcher, and you’re the catcher’.
CUT - No sex scene.
CUT - Bar owner saying 'F’ while throwing out Ren and Stimpy.
*NEW ENDING -Ren and Stimpy are thrown out during Ren’s bath. The episode fades out after Ren and Stimpy return to the Hobo’s mouth. Naked Beach Frenzy (now edited as ‘Beach Frenzy’)
*ADDED - New Title Card ‘Beach Frenzy’. *CUT - Bad animation of the yellow bikini girl flipping around, replaced with Ren reaction shots *CUT - Ren saying, ‘Work those glutes, baby!’
*CUT - Yellow bikini girl topless, Stimpy stands in Ren’s way, as the girl takes off her top, Ren screams in disappointment because he missed it, this makes the scene funnier.
*TRIMMED - Stimpy catapulted to the yellow bikini girl’s chest, no flopping around.
*CUT - Beach girls cat fighting over Stimpy.
*CUT - Beach girls constant screaming.
*CUT - Close-ups of Life Guard’s crotch, and various creepy shots.
*TRIMMED - Lifeguard smacking Ren off a Beach girl.
*TRIMMED - Lifeguard beating up Ren, he only slingshots Ren away. *CUT - Lifeguard women practicing mouth to mouth resuscitation.
*TRIMMED - Ren fake drowning, the Lifeguard women respond quickly.
*CUT - Girls shower room scene, no Ren washing girl down, or waxing, no Shampoo Master. Fade out to Ren and Stimpy in the locker room.
*CUT - When Ren is sinking, Stimpy simply says, ‘I’m coming’.
*TRIMMED - Stimpy plunging Ren out
*TRIMMED - Lifeguard now says, ‘Hey, you’re that jiminy sand crab guy, you made me kiss you! I’m going to beat the crap out of you!’ Ren and Stimpy start running.
