I think I hated it?
Pretty much my thoughts on it.

There are parts of it that just look bad, like all of the force powers, those would need to be fixed. Also my wife says it’s too fast, and in some places it is. It’s like so close to working
I agree, I think in theory it’s a great idea, but the execution needs some work. Kudos to these guys doing it, but it just feels not professional in places. I think it’s too fan boy looking. If it was a little more conservative it think it would be perfect and would integrate a bit better with the surrounding footage.
FXitinPost has just released his SC.38 “fanfilm”/remake of the Vader/Obiwan duel from A New Hope and it’s pretty awesome. Some shots look a little funny, but with a little editing, I think it would be a great addition to this “remaster” of yours. Check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to2SMng4u1k&feature=youtu.beNew+Teaser+T(just a shame Vader has the wrong gloves on. So much work done and such a simple detail overlooked… sucks, but it’s still pretty awesome to see the new shots and choreography)
I don’t know about this, some of it feels like it could fit, but most of it feels off
Opening Test Shot #2. I decided to entirely replace this shot with CGI. Original models taken from the Blu-ray just didn’t match rest of the VFX in terms of image quality.
Wow! Man that looks nice. Quick question though, what program are you using to accomplish this work. Also, I would be interested in knowing some of the technical aspects of your planet creation as well.
I think this project seems great! Similar to what Ady has done but with a modern twist, which is what I honestly believe these movies need since the release of the sequels and R1. I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing something similar.
I kind of hope Ady will see this and get some ideas for the HD version of ANHR
Sounds great! Thanks for the update
I would absolutely love to see a cover set based on the recent Star Wars Celebration Mural.
I’m sure as soon as there are high res versions of it, there will be
I am also curious about the progress of this.
Wrong forum, this should probably be posted in harmy’s thread or in the preservations forum
I am trying to find my favorite edit right now. Could you send me a link
Awesome! Can’t wait. Please send PM 😉
I really love the concept art covers! Very nice job indeed

Handbreak is going to re-encode your video which means there is going to be some (even if minute) quality loss. If you want absolutely no loss check into “demuxing” and .mov into its elementary streams (the audio and video separated) then get MKVToolNix to remux into an MKV.
You may be able to drop the MOV into MKVToolNix and have it remux it into an MKV without gaveling to demux at all.
Good to know, I did some research that said there are 2 different types of Blu-ray Disc LTH and HTL and that the HTL are the better of the 2 because they last longer. Also in the research I did it said that verbatim were LTH discs and therefore not as good as Panasonic discs that product HTL. Granted this information was almost 10 years ago, but I am concerned about longevity of my discs.
Since the PT won’t be relevant to OT:R, which canyon matte will be used for this shot that R2 travels through in ANH:RHD?
ANH:R

Theatrical
The matte for ANH:R was made to match closer to what Tatooine looked like in the PT.
Just my personal opinion, but I think the current ANH:R looks great.
Sorry I’m late to the party, what exactly was changed in v3
Yeah, your previous screen grabs had me worried this would almost be a b/w version. I like the new look. Still a little washed, but not as drab as before.
Maybe we could transplant them and give him a moustache?
I think this is my favorite solution! 🤣
I am looking into finally abandoning AVCHD for Blu-ray, but I am not sure what brand of disc is best for the money. Anyone here have any suggestions?
I’d be interested in seeing this
Yeah, like I said in the video tutorial, kerning is kind of tedious, but it’s worth the time to make it look good.
Yeah, I always adjust the kerning when I make a new crawl. It just looks too perfect if I don’t. Especially if you are trying to match the original crawls
Very nice indeed
Getting an error with that key
Cool!
Looking forward to checking this out
