The Mandalorian : 'MikeLuv80 / JSteven / ForceGhostRecon & Many Other Socks' edit

Mod Edit: It has come to the moderators attention that JSteven is also previously banned member ForceGhostRecon… and also Mikeluv80 - and many, many other socks - to which FGR has himself admitted.

He made homophobic slurs - in a personal attack vs another member in 2016 - for which he was banned at the time - yet has repeated more homophobic slurs of late in his other sock accounts.

MikeLuv80 also used homophobic slurs, created sock accounts, and engaged in abuse to the mod staff on FanEdit.org (he has also been banned from there).

Do NOT ask for links to any of his projects on the OriginalTrilogy•com - thank you.

Edit: Obviously… MikeLovullo/FGR/JSteven and his many continuing socks just cannot stay away from here (despite being repeatedly banned, informed such actions are viewed as harassment - and the authorities being informed) - yet still returns to make more sock accounts and bizarre posts. This, despite many members knowing his real life identity - from before he deleted his various social media platforms - and started charging $20 on his own Edits site to ‘cover costs’.

I have a new feature-length fanedit of The Mandalorian. The runtime is about 120 minutes and once a few things were moved around, it plays out surprisingly complete! This edit turned the first 3 (and part of 4) episodes into a cohesive story about the meeting and unlikely bond formed between a hardened Mandalorian bountyhunter and a unexpected ‘baby’ bounty.

The following contains spoilers from The Mandalorian…

The Mandalorian : a Radical Redux Fan Edit Ideas thread

Forceghostrecon just released his Mando edit and it’s pretty good! It’s amazing how well the pieces fit together into a structure that flows very naturally. It makes me wish this was really a movie instead of a tv show.

Further Mod Edit: Oh, and self-praise is no recommendation at all.

I think it’s fine so far and doesn’t need tweaking.
Although watching ep2 I was trying to think of how I could move as much of the sandcrawler/Jawa stuff that I could into A New Hope.

There isn’t much that can be used in ANH. It’s a good idea in theory, but the sandcrawler is a bit different (especially all the stuff on the roof)

Is this for fan edit? (I do not quite understand it - sorry.)

well, it’s not for anything that I’ve found, other than my own entertainment.

but basically, Star Wars is old. It shouldn’t be allowed to be controlled by a single entity, and I think that instead of Star Wars being considered a single story , it should be considered a Theme, where anyone anywhere is allowed to produce versions. Then, it should be managed like open source projects, where community members can participate in forks, with more popular forks rising to the top, but also representing the various fan communities.

THEN< , there should be a fork that basically addresses the “newtonian physics” fans, those people who were literally hoping to sit there and watch ships specifically manage their thrust angle in order to control their vector through combat.

this post (thread) is bizarre! lol

Help; looking for... in TLJ, making Luke identical to his other appearances in the film...

Very cool concept but it sounds almost impossible. CGI would nearly impossible to pull off as realistic. BUT maybe someone could possibly deepfake Luke’s older appearance onto Luke in that scene. Anyone know how to do that?

Here’s a deepfake tutorial I found on YouTube.

Wow, that’s a LOT of work! lol I hope somebody has enough time on their hands because I’d love to see it happen! 😃

My Return of the Jedi Edit (WIP, Rough Workprint Released)
Time

Can we please re-insert Luke building his saber and Vader calling to him? There are restored versions, with replaced mattes and all and they look pretty good!

The rebels storming the shield generator would be a great addition too.

Ewoks shooting blasters would be pretty great as well - I saw someone insert scenes from the old Ewoks movies and it worked pretty well. The hardest part will be making the image quality consistent throughout the film.

Vader fading away after he dies would be pretty cool too. I’ve seen this done in a few fanedits before.

Another great idea,
which I’ve also seen done before, is to put Luke on Dagobah in the very beginning of the movie. This really tightens up the timeline imo (this would require a crawl change as well)

Anyway, these are just a few ideas. Good luck, looks interesting!
