Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)
Time

Hey guys tried to search for an answer ( not long honestly )but its a quick one. I managed to download Harmy's ESB and ROTJ on a TPB and both files were just above 7GB in size each. My question is are these the original size of these files?

I know SWv2.0 is up around 16GB so i just wanted to be sure I get the original size, audio and quality that Harmy produced ! Thanks JIM

Thanks bilditup1 for the info, it was very nice of you to try and help me! I did finally manage to succesfully change the container to MP4 using MP4tools. The issue wasn't so much the 'overhead compression' as it was the combination of audio files that were on the original 16g MKV of SWv2.0

Basically all I had to do is select the Video stream and the compatible 5.1 track, and hit convert! The final MKV remuxed to a size of 14g without any change in quality! The conversion process created a 2 channel AAC track as well to make the MP4 playable within iTunes! Happy camper here, and STILL blown away by this incredible gift Harmy has bestowed upon us!

Despecialized Edition: Help with burning to discs
Time

Also new to the Galaxy guys and also need some guidence with Harmys masterpiece!

Downloaded the  V2.0 MKV as well, and I'm having difficulty changing the container to mp4 to play on my AppleTV. I only want to remux and not use handbreak to transcode. i have had success doing so with many MKV's but for whatever reason the complexity of the video stream or incompatible audio streams seems to be giving SUBLER & MP4Tools a bit of a headache. Got an error stating there was 'overhead compression' with the file with MP4Tools, it prompted to fix and after it ran thru I hit convert and the end result had 2 audio streams (1 AAC, 1 AC3) in new mp4 container but thd file would not play. SUBLER barely has a result as the MP4 ends up being tiny?! Very weird for sure and wondered if anyone gas had any success with switching the container? Thanks Jim

Thanks so much ANALOG for the link! I have had experience in remixing MKV and actually tried it with only the 1.0 and 5.1 included and for whatever reason the mp4 wouldn't play. When I used MP4Tools it said the file had 'overhead compression' ( whatever that means) then it supposedly did a run through to resolve that and then I hit convert. However after that process the file would not play. It's certainly appears to be a complex file but totally worth the trouble so thanks again for the link! JIM

Amen Mr. 'box'

on another note, downloaded V2.0 MKV and have been trying to switch the MKV container to an mp4 or m4v container to play over Apple TV. I do not want to Handbreak the file (transcode) because I don't want to lose quality etc. I have tried MP4Tools & SUBLER then if doesn't play? Thinking some audio files within the V2.0 are incompatible?! Anyone could direct me to a success story that would be greatly appreciated.

Our Night Of The Living Dead 1990 project (Released)

This is great! Loved that remake!

I heard about the poor BD release not to long ago and had hoped by some miracle that this film would get the proper treatment sooner than later! And here we are?! So happy I stumbled upon this site and found some folks that care and respect these films enough to do them some digital justice!

Good luck with the remaster men! And thanks again You_Too for the MySpleen invite - JIM

Well what can i say that hasn't been said about this masterpiece of a project! Harmy you are an incredible talent and from what i have read over the past week over 200 pages worth you have made and continue to make dreams come true for the OT fans!

I for one STILL cannot believe that this relief and restoration is REAL?! So much resentful suffering was left after Hurricane George screwed everything up and to see the original magic back before my eyes is breathtaking and probably as close to a feeling of time travel I will ever feel!

So thank you Harmy and everyone else who's project's and feedback contributed to this journey back for all of us. Especially for the little one's like my 5 year old son Joshua, who can now have the same experience I did as a child,  and witness a true TRIUMPH not only in film, but in film restoration history!!!!
