Ranking the Star Wars films

Forest battle wasn’t really necessary imo, the space battle was more than enough in terms of action. So not caring about them doesn’t change a thing. It was just a plot filler for Han and Leia, so they would seem like they were doing something.

You can remove JJ from TPM, but there is still nothing really good left, unlike ROTJ, where the only problem was the inclusion of the Ewoks.

If you ignore the Ewok scenes then you don’t have a coherent movie and I don’t know how you can rate it #1 at that point.

Beyond I’d like to know what you loved about ROTS and AOTC while loathing TFA to the point that it’s the worst Star Wars created.

Your judgement is completely wrong. They all mean something else to each one of us. TFA is a rehash of all things OT. Nothing really happens. Everything, every single plot point is set back to its ANH timeline. Other than Luke’s story (30 sec of screen time) there is nothing new or exciting for me. In a world where ANH exist, there is no need for TFA.

I only care about the Jedi vs Sith and Skywalker family story in SW universe. So that is why i don’t really care for ANH or ESB, as they are focused on Rebellion and Empire. With ROTJ, AOTC and ROTS, you get what i look for. None of the SW movies feature good acting or good dialog. And i’m not looking for that anyway.

Watch A Prelude to War edit of EP2, and you will change your mind on AOTC.

Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies, and i love the city design. But the story is not the greatest, as it offers nothing unique but the android element. We all want to see the city, the lifestyle, but all you have is a couple of rooms and people talking.

AOTC corrects this. It gives you the city, people in it, the look, the style… I will always love those city scenes in it. They show you a huge universe, rather than only mentioning it. With special editions, i wish they could include some Alderaan City shots before it gets blown up. I would love to see RM’s paintings of the city come alive. But instead you get Jabba and Boba Fett for some reason. If you are going to do that, atleast include someone who was missed by fans, such as having Yoda and QuiGon meditating, learning about the afterlife, becoming a ghost. Or how about Emperor having a decent hologram talk with Tarkin before that meeting?

Anyway, i guess you’ve got my point and my views. Don’t judge people just because they don’t think the same as you do.

Well we all have our own opinions and we should respect each other. I don’t like the forest battle, so i basically ignore it. So what? A lot of people ignore all Jar Jar scenes but his scenes were actually important to the plot (sad, i know).

We don’t have to have the same ideas or opinions just to be accepted. ROTJ speaks to me in a emotional level that ANH or ESB doesn’t. TFA is the worst because even prequels were unique and different (like it or not). I accept ESB for being technically superior to all SW movies, but i don’t like it. And i don’t have to.

1 - ROTJ (Ignoring all Ewok scenes and having all of the deleted scenes put back in the movie)
2 - ROTS
3 - AOTC (!, “A Prelude to War” fan edit)
4 - RO (Thanks to the 3rd act and all cameos in it, but “Dark Forces” clouds my judgement)
5 - ANH
6 - TESB
7 - Rebels (Bendu, Maul, ObiWan, Tarkin and Vader parts)
8 - Holiday Special (only for the main cast appearances and that beautiful kashyyyk matte painting by RM)
9 - TPM (Apart from the 10 minutes of some good stuff, this is just a sad memory)
10 - The Clone Wars Movie (Meh)
11 - The Clone Wars Series (Meeeh)
12 - Clone Wars Series (2003) (even Meeeeh-ier)
13 - Ewok Movies (No)
14 - Ewok/Droid Series (No No No)
14 - TFA (Stop)
