Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

Just finished watching this and it was great! I am not an expert on Star Wars like some other people are, but I do know my fair share. This version that you have created is just like I remember watching my vhs tapes growing up. Everything looks as close to the theatrical that I could notice, and with Star Wars and ESB to go along with ROTJ, I can now show people the greatest theatrical version trilogy of all tiime. Thanks for your great efforts Harmy! Well done!

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

I finished downloading this last night, but won't be able to watch for a couple days due to crappy work schedule, but I will watch it sometime this week. Just wanted to post and say great covers Harmy!! Now I need to buy more blu-ray cases. Used my last 3 on the back to the future trilogy. God that package was the worst in media history! Thanks for your hard work so we can all enjoy this.

Looks (and sounds) really good. :-) Thanks for all the hard work you're putting into this!

ROTJ was on SpikeTV last nite, and I saw the SE finale again for the first time in a long time. I had forgotten what a chopped-up mess it became. Why they wanted to shorten Luke & Leia's hug, edit Luke's wink, etc., is beyond me.

+1 Looking at this and the SE makes this so much better. What a chopped up mess the SE is indeed. Great work and I can't wait till the final product.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Just got done watching this and this was amazing!! There was only a couple times I noticed that it was a different source, but 99% of the movie felt like I was watching the real theatrical. You have done a great job on this and I thank you. Great job with this, great job on ESB, and I can't wait until ROTJ. Thanks again for your awesome work.

is there a Rotj in the works or finished?

thanks

It's on the first page of this subforum http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Harmys-RETURN-OF-THE-JEDI-Despecialized-Edition-HD/topic/12905/

Thanks for getting this done. It's going real slow for me and will take probably a couple days for me to download. Going at like 70 KB/s which sucks for me, but it will be worth the wait.

I picked this up from the torrents over the past few days and it's a real beauty. It's amazing to see this film as it should be seen - fully restored and unaltered. Can anyone confirm the file size though - I just want to make sure it hasn't been modified from the original. For some reason it had CSS protection when I tried to burn it. I got around it though. It came in at 3.79 GB. Sound right?

The iso file I have is 3.96gb in size. Hmmmm.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

I received a copy of this probably a year and half ago from someone here who was kind enough to give me one at the time. A couple weeks ago I passed it off to a friend so he could have it, so I found it on rapidshare and downloaded it so I could have it too. I downloaded the ntsc dvd9 revisited version and when I hit the write button in imgburn, a prompt comes up saying...

Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA:None found!(VTS_51) This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto double layer(OTP Track Path)disc. None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specifications' criteria for a potential layer break position. Do you want to continue anyways?

Didn't know what that was about but I pressed 'yes' and it burned with no problems. I watched it in full today and noticed that the layer break was in a different place then the copy I received before. The layer change on my previous copy was just as Vader was heading toward the Falcon in the hanger bay. The copy that I downloaded, the layer break was just after Tarken says to terminate Leia. Just wondering if there was a reason for this switch or whatever. Whatever the case, either is better then the horrible official dvds. The movie looks good and everything, so yeah. :)

No kidding about the complaints. I just spend 25 hours downloading it using Jdownloader and there were no problems. Did it take a long time? Yes it did but it was free and I just left it on and let it do its thing. It's not hard people. No reason to be complaining about this. Thanks again for making this available Adywan.

Great new picture comparisons. As usual Adywan is blowing everything he touches out of the water. Adywan=Gold. Can't wait for this to be 720 either. If you honestly can't see a difference bewteen 480/480 upscaled and 720 you either need your eyes checked or a new tv/monitor. Great job adywan!

Just saw the trailer and everything looks so awesome. I have tried to keep my expectations around average for everything, but now they have just skyrocketed. I cannot wait for this to come out. Seems like 2010 is forever. Good luck with your building adywan and great job!!

If you look that much into starfields, well I just don't know what to say. lol. I would have never caught that because starfields are in the background and I am looking at the action. Whatever Ady decides to do in keeping it or redoing it is fine with me. Thats just going too far in my opinion.

Also looking forward to Thursdays Ady select image. If you think about it, 5 more images and then the trailer. Happyness!!

SAVE LANDO!!!!
Time

I love ANH:R and I have loved everything I have seen with ESB:R. To me Adywan has not let me down yet and if he wants to change the story at the end of ROTJ:R I say let the man work. Like other people have said, it is his edit and if you don't like it in the end, re-edit it yourself. I for one am very interested to see this version and I always have thought someone major on the good side had to die. ROTJ is too happy compared to the first two films and it shouldn't be. The EU doesn't exist to me, as I have always just viewed the films as Star Wars and thats it. Go on with your edit Adywan for I will consider that Star Wars. :)

I'm still confused about aspect ratios, despite reading about them. For example, I know anamorphic is better than non-anamorphic because the scene will be bigger and the black bars will be smaller without zooming or distorting the picture somehow. But what is the ratio when you have a widescreen television and the whole screen is filled? Is there a good site that explains as many ratios as possible and maybe shows examples? There are so many times where I'd think 'why aren't there more movies that will fill a widescreen without having to zoom?' (which I don't do)

This site should explain it all. http://www.widescreen.org/index.shtml

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

I recieved a copy of this yesturday and watched this today. Let me first say that I saw ROTJ first, then ESB, then ANH when I was a child so I never experianced the full magic of the trilogy that people did 30 years ago. Man oh man. This was the best version of ANH I have seen in my life. Everything worked great and was seamless. I throughly enjoyed the star destroyer heading toward the death star. That made the movie for me. I was entranced from that moment. I must say that you have made what george should have put out in 2004. George shall bow his head in utter shame. Adywan, you made my day as I saw a film I had never seen before. This film was a real special edition. I loved every minute of it. I don't think that I didn't like anything. Your version was the ultimate version. I have the OOT to watch if I want to watch a classic trilogy, but if I want to watch a special edition, it will be yours for all time. The 2004 dvds that i bought will never be played again. They will only sit on my shelf forever. I look forward to episode 5, and I have never been as excited as I am right now to see that in my life. Thank you again for making this possible.

Edit:Also forgot to mention that I love that you put the credits with the stars in the background. I always loved that. At the end where it says Mixed & Recorded in a THX sound system theatre & in my front room while the wife watched the soaps, I laughed so hard. My wife thought I was crazy. lol. Thanks again.
