I just saw the movie in 2D btw.
And I have some mixed feelings about it.
First of all , it’s a nice movie with lot’s of nice effects.
-Hell if it has robots and lasers, it’s always a good movie for me- 😃
But there are a lot of loose ends. wich probably will be explained in the sequals.
In the beginning of the movie, you had the scene with the rebel pilot and an old men.
He seemed to be important in a way, but the film never explained him.
I had to google him to get more info on him
Max von Sydow plays character called “Lor San Tekka” according to IMDb. He come’s back in eps 8
What’s the story about a piece of a map of Luke’s location?
It doesn’t seems logical. just 1 piece. And only R2D2 has the other parts of the map.
Can’t they not just compute with excisting maps the piece of the pilot’s map, so the location is found that way?
And how is this piece of map related into the story line?
Did luke send that piece to the rebels? So he wanted to be found???
questions.
About the stormtrooper Finn, It appears to be his first mission?
The new order mentioned that there were no problems with this unit , and he was “repaired” for something.
then later on, general hux mentions all of his troopers are trained for this from there childhood.
What’s this Finn doing in the picture, he magically get scared of the violence and fighting and decides to free this rebel pilot , just because it feels to be the good thing to do?
And what about Finn early training as a trooper, he would have had the same issuers before, not?
The only reason i can think of is that the killed stormtrooper who gives Finn the bloody helmet must be his loved one or some kind. Or from that point he is mind controlled (maybe jedi?) to do something good.
About the crashing of the tie fighter on the planet. the tie figher miraculously disappears in the sand, that blows up under ground for some reason. that’s makes no sense at all.
Kylo Ren seems to be the big villan with some awesome powers , freezing a laser blast? nice
But very quickely seems to have some issues with his powers when confronted with someone else with force powers… He seems to be very weak in force powers expressed.
2 people disruppted the jedi learnings of Luke skywalker toward jedi pupils. who’s the second one?
What’s the story about Rey?
She’s been abandoned on a desert planet. Why??
Did she got jedi training before? it seems soo.
Was she the second person I mentioned just before?
Maybe she is a pupil of the dark side, because her powers only appear when she’s angry.
if that’s the case, luke will force pull his lightsaber out of her hands and cut her to pieces 😃
I do have the feeling she’s a child from either Leia, or Luke.
the starkiller base? yeah lat’s make thing bigger and better right???
it needs to suck up a whole star to get enough energy to destroy planets?
The death star could do this without the sun sucking 😃
So it’s not better then a death star in my oppinion.
And how come it’s so badly protected again?
Captain Phasma (the shine chrome stormtrooper) just deactivates the shield under treath.
i gess the rest of the bridge crew didn’t notist this? right.
and ther were no other consoles to activate the shield again???
And what about the scene with general hux just before the star killer shoots?
Too much of a nazi reference to me. flaggs and stormtrooper greet.
Does that make the new order more evil?
Han solo is old.
it took a while to adapt to that fact.
but then again, i loved his apperaence in the movie.
It was one the best movie moments for me
he’s a bit slower the 30 years before 😃
what I don’t understand is that when Finn and Rey are hidding in the millinium falcon with the gasmasks on.
How did Han solo found them right away?
Maybe I missed some thing there in the movie (I was consuming a rather large bucket of ben and jerrys there =)
princess leia, was a surprise too, a bit in a negative way.
She too is old ofcoars. but her voice sounded too as an old granny.
She looked not very convinced in her role.
It seemed that her face was digitally retouched somehow.
Carry fisher was a very beautiful woman in her days, but maybe her depressions made a big mark in what she is today. I still have much respect for her. And loved her acting in the Blues brother movie too 😃
Han solo is death. or is he? we know they can fix alot of people up with robitic parts.
it seems H fort plays in eps8. but then again, maybe not.
i read somewhere that the next starwars movie to be released is a han solo spinoff soo we will see…
And just ONE other thing that bothered me…
WHAT HAPPENED TO HYPERSPEED ???
No mentioning of that in the movie. It’s all a bout LIGHTSPEED all of a sudden.
the systems must be ridiculously close to one eachother to travel a few minutes in lightspeed to get to another system right??
Does not compute here…
All in all, not a bad movie. But a lot has to be explained for ous.
