I finally had a chance to watch this edit over the weekend. FANTASTIC WORK EVERYONE! Thanks for all the collaboration that brought this to fruition, I loved it!

Any updates Krausfadr? I see that Adywan is planning to release his episode IV edit in 1080p, so that might be helpful, eh?

I’m following closely as well. It’s been too long since I watched the show to offer any salient advice, but really looking forward to this coming to fruition.

Forgive my terrible memory, but why are all these Star Destroyers exploding over random planets? (I only saw TROS once, so I might be forgetting something).

I hate to be a dissenting voice, but I just don’t think that ‘crackling’ saber edit looks very good. I also don’t think making Rey’s saber have a crackle is a good idea. Just my 2 cents.

There is some exciting progress going on here. Just one thing concerns me - there seems to be talk of re-assigning the opening scene to Coruscant (instead of Mustafar). But, I thought Coruscant was a planet entirely covered by city. Seems like the fight in the forest scene wouldn’t make sense for Coruscant.

Sounds pretty awesome! I wonder if you could include the structural changes that Hal9000 made to the Force Awakens, which create a more sensible flow to the plot (and removes the ridiculous visibility of the planet-destroying beam being visible from other star systems).

I really enjoyed the ROS, but surely a few nips and tucks would help it.

I like what I’m seeing here so far, especially the idea of tweaking the crawl to let the film introduce Palpatine.

Definitely get rid of “light speed skipping” if possible, that took me right out of the movie (or at least get rid of the Tie-fighters keeping up).

The only other thing I can think to suggest is regarding that cone-head droid. There’s a thread in the film about ‘not under-estimating droids’. It seemed like they were building up to have that cone-head do something awesome, but there was never a pay-off. If there is a way to snip that out cleanly, I think it would improve things.
