Idea & Info: Grindhouse (possible fan-edit?)
Time

So luckily I caught this masterpiece in theaters and i’ve just found out that the friggin studios are not releasing it as shown theatrically, but as separate films for the DVD release. Which of course is totally opposite to the very idea of Grindhouse features and this one in particular.

So I suppose my question is: who out there is getting worked up about this besides myself? I have no editing skills to speak of so that of course only fuels my sadness that I won’t be seeing Grindhouse as I did on DVD anytime soon.

The Hobbit (70s animated Rankin/Bass feature) (Released)
Time
Eh, I guess thats part of the reason I don't post here often is that its knda strict around here about the rules, whereas everywhere else I go I never think twice about that kinda thing..

Anyhow, yes the film was indeed made in the 70s not 60s, other than that this recording has been taken from two songs off a LP and the rest have come from a archive master. So this is pretty much the best thats going to probably ever be avalible sadly. Also included are some bonus songs from other features of Rankin/Bass, such as Burl Ives doing 'Silver & Gold' and that kinda thing.

Alot of people have asked about the soundtrack to the Return of the King, but I don't have any idea about obtaining that one.

Phineasbg/ HIGHLANDER II: Extended Versions (Released)
Time
Greetings everyone! I've just returned from holiday in Europe where i've been for the past month now and I was wondering what the status with the new extended edition (the one that has the fairytale ending in the original aspect ratio that was to found on some Italian laserdisc/dvd) is? I noticed that Demonoid seems to be down and nothing i've found on Nova seems to be this newer edition...

I arrived pretty late Friday and never got to see anybody either, but it was still a pretty great convention nonetheless. I really enjoyed all the costumes there (except for the web-slinging stormtrooper, which I thought was just wrong) and the events were pretty excellent.

How many got to see the Vader Project? That was one of the best I thought.

Don't know much about the events or layout really, but if you see a long-haired blond guy wearing a Han Shot First shirt & playing a Nintendo DS, thats me. I do kinda want to see if they have a role-playing section as i'm hoping there might be a preview of the Star Wars rule system going on somewhere.

I completely hear you Phillock! I got out of Pokemon sometime after the first movie, so these new Pokemon are all kinda meh to me, but every now and then something really cool will come up that makes me think, 'okay, now thats kinda neat'.

I personally am going to have a team of just 'real' Pokemon to battle with and thats the great thing about this game is that once you beat it, you can just import your old characters on over and have them join the fray.

I played the card game back in the day, but never got into the handheld games as I never had a gb, gba, or ds. I did however just get a ds lite and am enjoying furiously. But you are both correct, you need time for this game is great for killing it.

Also, the current number of Pokemon is 493! This was a huuge shock to me as I hadn't followed it since the original 150!

How many of you all are planning to attend? I'm flying out to see my best friend on the 24, so i'll likely be there in attendance the 25th/26th.....just wondering if many planned to be there or not, personally i'm going in with lowered expectations since the shape of Star Wars these days is pretty abysmal, but its free for me so whatever.

Also, I would however encourage everyone going to see the One-Man Star Wars show; my parents sponsored the guy in our town and he was just incredible. Really really cool show & person.
