Global Warming
Time
I know you're probably getting the "global warming is bullshit news" from people who are getting paid by oil companies and the bush administration to say that, but it is a serious problem and I don't like it either because we'll have to change our budget and lifestyle but what are ya gonna do?

If you hear global warming from any valid source you will hear it's a serious problem. Yeah a 0.8 F global increase in the past 100 years doesn't sound like a lot but it is and it is kinda like gaining weight. As a kid you might not notice it, but it catches up with you eventually and that time is now. Plus now we're expending energy as gases like never before!!! If you don't care about the polar bears that's fine but the rest of the world is still going to get f'ed up so use your head instead of your ego, smart one.

1. I already explained why I didn't post elsewhere.

2. Global warming is not bullshit. Haven't you heard about the polar ice caps melting. What about all our awkward weather we've had? Our winters where I live have been warmer every year than the predessing year. We used to get much more snow. We emit an estimate of 3 trillion metric tons of greenhouse gases per year plus we're constantly deforesting the most important lungs of our eath: the rainforest.

3. "He's back" is just a terminator cliche thing that I thought was cool.

I’ll make this article star wars related you panzys:

I think a big contributor to global warming is George Lucas’s fat ass leaking greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Another contributer is all of Lucas’s brown nosers star wars fans that rush out to their shoppin center everytime lucas’s realeses his latest shit sandwich.

Empire Strikes Back sets are terrible.
Time
I was thinking that LFL had some budget cuts when make ROTJ because the sets looked like they are lacking in budget, but ROTJ had the highest budget of the three OT. Star Wars had a budget of just a little under $ 10 mil, ESB ended up being about $20 mil, and ROTJ had a budget of about $32 million.

I guess a lot of it went to bloated advertising like the prequels.

Another thing that makes me think ROTJ had a low budget was that it kinda ends abrubtly. In like the last 10 minuets everything comes to a conclusion and then WHAM! it's the ending. I think the movie should've taken a little slower pace towards the end and I don't like the direction GL took with the revisions, having all the stupid celebrations at end with Jar Jar Binks saying "weeza free!!!"

Empire Strikes Back sets are terrible.
Time
I think the first 3 quarters of ESB is pretty good but the last quarter or so is cheap. The sets start to look cheap and frankly look like sets. When the movie takes place at Hoth or in space or whatever even the the special effects and sets arne't 100% convincing enough they're good wenough to the point where you can suspend your disbeleif and really feel like the movie is real and is really taking place in a galaxy far far away. But once they get to Bespin all the atmosphere gets thrown out the window. All the sets look plain, cheap and white. It totally makes you think the characters are in a set. The point where luke fights vader in that big retarded shaft facility, what the hell was that? It was just a cheap excuse of a place to have it decorated like the way george wanted it with no attention to continuity in the story. The area looks like something the empire would have but it's taking place where the empire has nothing to do with the place.

The sets in ROTJ got even worse. WTF were they thinking?

The original Star Wars is the only one of the series where the whole time I feel all the sets are good enough to make you feel like you're totally immersed in a real story.

Do you know of any really good DVD playing software?
Time
I put that $5 gimmik there to see if it would attract more replys but you guys don't find it funny so I got rid of it.

I have Windows XP media Center 2005 edition and it is just windows XP home with a few stupid media software programs that rely on 3rd party software to work. Windows came with DVD playing software but it doesn't have an MPEG decoder so it needs a 3rd party player that does have an MPEG decoder to work, which is really stupid, the richest most powerful software company in the world relies on 3rd party software for thir amuturis software programs to work.Pathetic. Is this one of the reasons why people hate Windows? I know a lot of people don't like microsoft monopolizing the software market for operating systems but that seems to be changing. Windows seems to being left behing as graphics card, sound card, and everything else comes with their own software and drivers to work over Windows. These days the only thing windows is really good for is using it for the desktop to navigate 3rd party software.

Do you know of any really good DVD playing software?

Hello, there are only a few days left until the limited edition unaltered DVD versions go off the retail market. I haven’t watched the films in years mostly because I just lost interest and frankly, gotten sick of them. I don’t feel like buying the new versions now but I don’t have a choice if this is the last chance to get the unaltered versions. I know they’re not in anomorphic which pisses me off, so how do they look. I am more interseted in what they look like on a LCD computer monitor because I have a good surround sound card with my computer. I haven’t come across any very good DVD playing software for a computer yet, but I haven’t looked much either. All the DVD decoding software that I have used it the Intervideo DVD player and Nvidia’s “puredecoder” DVD software and I haven’t liked either of them. They both play DVD’s in that lousy, choppy framerate that doesn’t make the movies very enjoyable. Do you know of any really good DVD playing software? I have an Athlon 64 2.2 GHz processor and a 256mb XFX 7800 GT graphicas card plus an Nforce4 motherboard, so my hardware shouldn’t be the limiter to why my DVD’s are playing crappy.
