Not really. Of the Disney movies, I liked Solo the most. Rogue One didn’t really make me care about any of the characters. I suppose it might actually get better after watching Andor.

Well, I’m watching the final episode now and I can tell you they are 100% for sure using the fan-made Jurassic.Park.1993.35mm.1080p.Cinema.DTS.v2.0 release - I compared it and it’s pixel-for-pixel exactly the same, except they graded it a tiny bit more towards teal.

I’m gonna have to do some side by side comparisons but I’m 99% sure that all the shot’s from Empire are from TN1’s Grindhouse version and I have a feeling that the Star Wars shots might actually be from the Silverscreen Edition.

First, check that all the files, except for the last one, are the same size - if there’s one that’s a different size, you need to re-download that one.

I don’t know how else to say the CC is temporary, so that people would finally shut up about it. I’m generally a pretty nice guy, as I’m sure most people here could attest to, but this constant nitpicking of color grading pisses me off and makes me not want to do this any more.

Also, in your example, the people look like they fell asleep in a tanning bed, while having an infusion of carrot juice.

Now, of course, I have to figure out how far to go with removing the power-windowed color changes. For example, in the scene where Luke first sees Leia’s hologram, the Skyhopper outside is recolored completely to a point where it can’t even be fixed with color correction and would have to be replaced with another source.

Thanks. I’m just trying to figure out what additional changes were made (rather than old changes being redone), so I don’t miss any changes in v3.0 when using the UHD BD 😃

I export everything in rec709. To be honest, all this hdr stuff is giving me headaches. Not just for Star Wars but at work too - there, at least, we have a dedicated support team for this stuff. 😀

Actually, in this forum’s vernacular, GOUT (George’s Original Unaltered Trilogy) explicitly refers to only the 2006 DVD release. Anything pre-Special Edition would be OUT (Original Unaltered Trilogy).

Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. How much different would a theatrical timing be for SW?
TBH, I’d actually rather stick to GOUT for backwards compatibility - I really doubt anyone is going to miss those extra frames when watching the movie. I was just afraid that any new audio preservations would be done to the new standard but it seems that no new standard actually exists, whereas the GOUT actually did present a tangible standard.

Also, having been out of the loop for a while, I’m wondering, if there are any noteworthy preservation projects that I might have missed in the last year or so - maybe even WIP releases and stuff like that.
