Idea: 'Blade Runner: Dream Noir' Fanedit
Time

I’ve always wanted to make my my cut for Blade Runner, It’s clearly unfinished becouse of the film’s budget. The best cut is clearly the new Final Cut, but the fanedit community inspired me to make this. So I begin to work of my own fanedit.

Some of the changes I have in mind:

-Deck is not a replicant. Cuting every hint of it.

-Changing the inroduction of the replicants. Deck reading the file in the spinner, on the way to Tyrell.

-Adding some narration, and alternate takes.

-Rachel dies at the end, Deckard realise, that Gaff was in the apartment.

-Happy ending is a dream as Deckard drive away in the dark city.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

A little late joke for april 1st.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZIoWOwXYtw

Ady, will you do musical numbers for ESB:R? It would be revolutionary. xD Btw at last I saw the first 16 min clip, it's awesome, and those two elements not drastically change the scene, I didn't noticed the trooper passing by, becouse itS not cover up the whole frame like the ronto did in ANH. If I bit nit pick that few frame that the last solider I would delete. He's out of place and obviusly copy-paste frome previous shot.

Cheers.

The smile was a nod to the original Emperor who smiles at the exact same point.

I've given up on this video. No matter what i do there will be complaints. First the face is too static and that the original emperors face is more emotive, then i add the smile at the same point as the original Emperors smile and some motion to the face, then the face needs to remain more emotionless.

So that's it. No more videos. I'm spending so much time going back over videos i have posted trying to please everyone that i'm wasting time that could be spend on other scenes. When i get to the point that i'm pleased with a shot, i should stop there. I'm never going to please everyone and things just then get bogged down.

I'm pretty sure that some people thing i can perform impossible things. You have to remember that i can only work with what i have available with existing footage, etc. The only way i could do the emperor any better now would be to pay Ian to reprise his role in this scene and get him to wear a prosthetic that matches his ROTJ one. But we all know that this is never going to happen.

+1

Ady, you can't please everyone, if you try, you'll go insane. Don't bother with the critics, it'll be bad to youre health. I know it from experience.

This one will be my true vision. The others were only "workprints". When "Revisited:Special Edition" comes out only a handful of fanboys will cry out for the original version to be restored and preserved in HD, but it would be too expensive for me to ............

ARRRRGGHHHHHHHHH. WHAT HAVE I BECOME!!!!!

Damn, I had to cut the audio again. :D I've got 5 years tho. :) Never mind. I've really interested, what will you do to the HD version. A bigger TIE fighter reveal? :) That would be nice.

Nice Ep1 recut! Well done, Bob!

Angel: What is the problem to the recoil? In the New Hope, turblasers are recoiled, when fired, so I don't see the point of this. But it looks cool with the more deatailed gun. I always imagined, that the small guns are, same as the Anti Air weapons for aircrafts.

I mean this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Turbolaser - this is anti ship lasers, with low accuracy on fighters, why enables the trench run to the rebels.

Hey Ady, I have an idea, that you can fund you're project. You can't sell the revisited dvds. BUT how about writing a book or something of the tchnique you use, and you can sell it. That's legal, or not? http://www.videocopilot.net/ do the same.

Yes, with all his free time it should be a snap.

:p

It was just an idea. I don't know how usefull it is, becouse I don't know adywan's timetable. :)

Definatly pre-SE for the most part. There may be a few additions here or there, but it should be easier than ANHR.

Now that's some real information as I read for months here, It's a good news. I can make the old dubbs in 5.1 for ESB:R. The SW:R was a bit flawed. (I had done 6-8 times before it worked).

Ady, I just wondering, when ESB:R will be out, I'll make a dub for my own country language. The funny thing that I got dubs for the pre SE, and the SE versions, and asking you, how many changaes will be in. And I mean in the added/extended scenes (the ANH:R comparison helped me cut the audio to find the plus frames in the dtetntion area in the two shots in the Death Star for example). So will the lenght change, the runtime will be as the pre-SE or will be the SE runtime? Just thinking for the future.

Cheers.

I've always felt it was possible to save this one shot where we see Vader's shuttle leaving Bespin. It doesn't throw the music off, and you get the visual confirmation that he's made it back to the Executor. IMO, the best of both worlds

Vader's shuttle

I have to disagree.

Movies are supposed to be about show, not tell. The work has already been done.

It's a quick snippet.

It gets the info across.

It doesn't affect the film is any negative way like keeping the whole scene would.

Personally, I can't see any downside in keeping it.

I can't disagree more about this. The info doesn't need to be added by seeing the shuttle go to the Executor. And it certainly does affect the film in a negative way. The whole scene flowed beautifully along with the great score by John Williams in the pre SE version. Now these abominations of adding worthless scenes were added and that flow is gone and the score is hacked up. And keeping even one shot would still screw the sequence up in both the flow and the musical score. Why GL felt that we had to see Vader travel to the Executor is beyond me. Everything that we needed to know was originally there in one line "Bring my shuttle". So what was Vader going to do with the shuttle if not head back to his ship? Was he going to go on a sight seeing tour? No. This added scene was just another unnecessary Ric Olie moment.

Every single added scene from the SE's during the escape from Bespin is gone, as it should be.

And Needa's shuttle was changed to a Lambda class shuttle so there is still a shuttle in the movie

It's a bit off topic, or maybe not.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE7fzr6lQ-s&feature=related

I didn't bought the dvd, coz I don't care, but I couldn't belive my ears what they say. I'm so upset, that one man have so much controll, what done with Spielberg? Pointed a gun to his head? I can't belive this, what crap titles they wanted to add to the film. And GL's aliens but it's not aliens... Gash, I'm soooo angry. OKay sorry about this if it's off topic, but hearing someone is incompetent and hearing it is a different.

In defense of Lapti Nek... I always felt that it functions as background music for Jabba's Palace, whereas Jedi Rocks is just in-your-face, over-the-top and annoying.

Yes, Lapti Nek is a cheesy song, but it doesn't really draw your attention away from the action/creatures on the screen. Jedi Rocks on the other hand, is just prequel-level awful!

You nailed it!

But indeed, that's sort of off-topic.
Maybe if I hit myself on the head hard enough, I get taken to a hospital and wake up somewhere mid-July 2011? Now that would be awesome!

That's an exelent idea! I'll go and test on myself. I'll tell you if it'll work. xD

Recently i have been having a chat with an ex member of these boards who has been a very great supporter of this project. You may remember Janskeet and that he funded the tibetan lamb fur needed to make the wampa as realistic as possible. Well we had been chatting about the blu-rays coming out next year and he asked if it would be possible for me to do ROTJ:R in 1080p. i told him that there was just no way of doing something like that with my setup as it is borderline doing ESB:R in 720p as it is. Next thing i know he had offered to fund a better PC so i could work in 1080p and we got the new parts this weekend. So......

Is that means that you can work faster on the footages, so ESB:R will be released earlyer? :D::D

Understandable brash. Thanks for your input.

I do plan on doing all 6 movies to have them flow better as a total story. That will mean making changes to the OT. Maybe not anything groundbreaking. But changes.

And as always, this is not set in stone right now. My mind goes all over the place. Tomorrow I might think of a good way to lock down a idea to have Obi wind up with Anakin's saber before this movie ends. Then nothing needs to change from the OT. 8)

I'm just trying to bounce around the idea ball.

Why have to had Star Wars a double trilogy? If I had a good computer with video-editor software, I would make a single movie from ep1 and ep2. A movie is in 3 act, or 8 sequences, just do episode 1 a firs act, or one or two sequences, then jump in the timeline to the 18 year old Anakin. Maybe just do flashbacks from his childhood, from ep1. Many movies done this before. The existing material is not in the condition to make betterer. For example you can cut out Jar jar, but the film won't have more deeper story.

Sorry for my bad english. :)

Cheers

Incredible, jaw dropping awesome!!!

But I do think those ships look a bit too small. It's hard to tell the scale...

The transport is a lot bigger than it was in the original. Plus there is some background activity to add yet that will give the scale.

Awesome work as always! :D I wonder what will you do with RotJ:R battle. :) But that's an off topic. It's amazing, and no 3D in this, right?

As probably the only one here who owns the helmet, flight suit, and Hoth jacket I can hopefully clear somethings up. The collar is pretty stiff can alter the angle of the helmet when wearing it. With limited mobility being strapped in also means movement in the chair is limited and a helmet visor bumping into things can happen easily. I've sat down in all my gear and all kinds of things shift out of place just by doing that motion alone. Again... I only can confirm this cos I own these items. ^^

hoth pilot gear

Nice vacum cleaner tube on that suit. :D It's really impressive. :)
