Could I get a link please? This project looks great for an avid T2 fan.
Are the sound effects in the tiger shark scene still out of sync?
To me I couldn’t really tell if they were out of sync. The fish seemed to sound as they landed. The can and license plate sounded spot on. I don’t use any delay settings for HDMI.

What exact scene? The autopsy?
To me it sounds like the LD and 2005 mono, its higher pitched.
Higher pitched would make it equal to the 2012 mono. The LD and 2005 mono have the lower pitch.
I corrected my post, that is what I meant. I should bring my phone or iPad into the theater when doing comparisons to your Vimeo vid. It would be easier for me. Lol.
To me it sounds does not sound like the LD and 2005 mono, its higher pitched.
The engine explosion of the Orca sounds like its still the wrong pitch. Or should i say it sounds like it always has. Cant remember if that Vimeo vid has the explosion in it. I’ll check.
Yes, the explosion sounds like the LD.
does anyone know how the mono sounds on the 4K version?
I watched mine the other night and the mono sounded excellent on the 4K UHD. It reminded me of the mono track from the Signature Collection laserdisc.
What about the examples in this video?? How did they sound on the UHD??
Quick comparisons as my computer is in a different room than my home theater. I can not hear the ‘Cassidy burp’ I can hear Brody’s yeah" it’s very subtle. Good Vimeo video on the comparisons.
Thank you. Is the engine explosion still in the wrong pitch?? No rush.
I’ll check it and report back.

Totally forgot about Blade Runner. When I first got the 4K UHD I didn’t really notice those opening sound effects being different, was just excited to hear the movie in Dolby Atmos. Than I read some reviews that mentioned remixed effects and yes, quite different. Good comparison you posted.
Oh, I see, it’s not finished yet. HDMan72 made it sound like he already had it.
Yes, Grindhouse version thats very good. I just checked out scenes from Respecialized 97’ and its excellent! There s something about the 97’ SE that I just like having and viewing from time to time even though that Jabba scene is tough to sit through for me. Really enjoyed the color grading, the early Tattoine shots look terrific.
I’ll check this out. Not a huge fan of the 97’ SE but its better than the current version with more changes. Every now and than I’ll watch my 97’ 35mm scan version. One thing is the added CGI shots look much better than they did on blu-ray or 4K UHD.
The Terminator is always on the top of my list and those new foley effects in Jaws were right behind.
This is a great digital presenatation of the laserdisc which I owned many years ago. The Dolby Digital EX soundtrack is one of the best from the laserdisc years. The pod race and Darth Maul duel still sound incredible. Thanks!
Here is softer grain, along with colors that are a bit closer to what I see in the print caps above.
That looks real good. Would love to see TPM this way!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I would also like to get this one.
Is this project finished. would definitely donate! Goldeneye is my 3rd favorite Bond film.
Wow, you did some great work here. I had this Criterion laserdisc back in the day. Very good movie and shame it doesn’t have a blu-ray release. I always enjoyed Bokeem Woodbine in this.
I haven’t seen this since owning the Criterion laserdisc and DVD. i remember stupid me selling that Criterion DVD for a nice hefty price. I was younger & dumber. Wouldn’t mind checking this out.
This would be very cool. King Kong holds a special place for me, it was the very first movie I seen at a cinema in 1976. I was 5 years old and loved that movie my whole childhood. Still enjoy it today, I have the French blu-ray release but prefer the 1933 version.
I’m going to try to watch mine tonight. I’ve watched some scenes and the DTS Cinema track sounds fantastic, maybe a little light weight in the LFE department but I can compensate for that. Yes, I would be excited for a 4K scan of this, it would look fantastic from what I’ve seen already.
I have the D-VHS rip but this is the first I heard of a nice 35mm print. As a new member here I would like to get access to this version. Thanks.
Hello all! Been getting into fan preservations of some of my all time favorite movies from the 70’s -80’s. Glad to be accepted here.
