The so-called landscaper’s landscape like criminals, i used to landscape i now how to do it properly. You don’t mow a lawn with a weedwhacker.

The people who paint don’t know how to paint looks like someone did it with a blindfold on. They come to fix your doors and windows give you no new screens, and make sure your door closes worse than did before you complained. And not only is your shower impossible to turn on its impossible to turn off, and leaks water into the hallway if you don’t put beach towels or spa size towels in front of it.

The last year has been a nightmare.

I’m determined to somehow hack out an existence even in the mist of high inflation and tariffs. And nothing in the world being constant anymore or making a lick of sense.

Not sure if you live in the United States or not, but if so, I’d suggest doing some research into the “Fair Housing Act” as well as filing complaints. Landlords or management companies do not have a legal right to forcibly move you from your residence if you are in good financial standing based upon fraudulent complains from one troublesome neighbor. They would need multiple complaints from several neighbors as well as concrete proof of a problem to even begin discussions of relocating or termination of a rental. It sounds like you have a very overbearing situation, and they would not have any legal footing to stand on if you threaten it.

I just watched this again today. I’m not sure if Spence will ever consider a V4 of this. But here is my feedback:

• As mentioned above, there is a technical glitch at 1:29:49.

• Another technical thing that is a bigger undertaking… replace the source files with HQ rips from the 4K release. Colors are much better and this will help greatly with artifacts and crushed blacks from the Disney+ rip

• The musical cue when Leia is taken is a bit overdone. Maybe silence is better here? Some quieter echoey stings perhaps?

• There needs to be some explanation as to WHY Vader doesn’t continue pursuing Kenobi after their first fight. An AI line could help here, but what the reason is, I’m not sure. Maybe an AI line for a Stormtrooper stating that Reva has Leia and then Vader says something like: “Kenobi will come back to us.”

• Palpatine. This scene is essential to explain why Vader stops hunting Obi-Wan. It should go between the final Leia goodbye scene and the scene of Obi-Wan packing up to go meet Luke.

Not sure if this has been posted, but in the current version it goes completely black at 1:29:49 for about half a second.

Hi Everyone.

Just a quick update. Haven’t been able to be active online at all lately due to internet issues. Changed our internet from copper broadband to full-fibre broadband ( going from 60mb to 500mb for £10 less a month than i was paying for the slower speeds) and things didn’t go very smoothly . Had hardly any connection since its been installed. Engineer visits keep getting cancelled along with provider and installer passing the buck as to who’s fault it is all the time. Can’t even switch back to the old copper broadband because they removed the copper connection going to the house ( which they weren’t supposed to do).

Anyway, just want to say a big than you to everyone that donated. We hit the target to raise the $1000 so it has now been matched by the kind donator. It’s such a shame that the pound is so strong against the dollar at the moment with $1000USD converting to about £750.00GBP, so still a little way off the £2000 target for the monitor /drives. I have the wash and cure station and 3d printer all set up and the monitor , while out of stock at the moment, will be in stock mid next week so i will be picking that up the moment it is in stock.

Don’t know when my connection will get sorted so i may be quiet for a while if they cancel next weeks appointment again

Another small tweak to consider…

• Remove Baze calling Jyn “little sister”

He’s known her like a day at most, that moment has always come across as odd and trying to forcefully add more of a family-type vibe to the group that just isn’t there.

I’d be willing to help as well. My job is in technology and I have a background in SQL and database management.

Not sure if these are possible, but I gave ChatGPT a try for potential fixes:

• Limit posting for new accounts — maybe require a 24-hour waiting period, or only allow replies after reading a certain number of threads or posts. Even a short cooldown would cut down on hit-and-run stuff.

• Auto-remove or flag posts that include phrases like “any links?” or “where can I find…” from accounts with under X posts or under X days old.

• Force new users through a rules acknowledgment step, especially emphasizing “no link requests.”

• Temporary posting bans (automated) for first offenses, just to discourage the behavior without needing mod intervention every time.

To counter BroomKid’s point, I don’t want to speak for Hal, but his edits have always seemed to have been streamlined-canon, get rid of the meh but don’t fundamentally change the story. Slide his edit in place of the other and you’ll be fine.

With his sequel edits, revisions were made to VII and VIII after IX came out. I don’t see this being any different. Andor was great, and adding back some small character moments for Cassian, or making some futher tweaks based on a great Star Wars project doesn’t fundamentally change the edit.

The deepfake VFX fixes are still there, the weird Bodhi and Saw stuff is still gone, unneeded cameos, milk shots, and clunky dialogue/scenes are still removed.

Any way these posts can be auto removed or accounts temp banned?

So annoying seeing so many threads getting updated with people asking for links and not reading the site rules.

Maybe new accounts get informed of a ban if they ask for links in a thread.

Okay, I watched the latest version today after finishing Andor last night, and here are my notes/thoughts:

• To match the other spin-offs, should an opening crawl be added? Andor doesn’t have one, but it seems like every other entry will have one moving forward.

  • Here is a test I put together and posted not too long ago using Hal’s last crawl (and a track from the Andor soundtrack):

  • Rogue One - Opening Crawl

• Restore the Cassian intro.

  • If rolling from Andor into Rogue One, it is essential. It helps to also cement Cassian as a co-lead of the film and make it more of Jyn and Cassian’s story than just Jyn’s. I think it also helps slow the pacing which seems a little fast in the beginning of the current edit.

• Mon suggests Galen will testify to the Senate, but given the events of Andor, what’s the point of this?

  • “Given the gravity of the situation and your history with Saw, we’re hoping that he will help us locate your father and return him to the Senate for testimony.”

  • Given Krennic and Tarkin’s later conversation about systems “flocking to the Rebellion” if the rebels get word out of the Death Star project, maybe some AI can be used to extend Mon’s line. It could be added over when the room gets silent to look at Bail Organa and notcing he looks different from how he did in Andor 😄

  • “and return him to the Senate for testimony. People will wake up when truth is restored to that chamber.”

• Restore showing the audience Cassian’s instructions to kill Galen Erso, but just the intital one on Yavin.

  • I think this adds more weight to Cassian’s decision later NOT to kill Galen and also shows us the inner conflict that Cassian is going through earlier in the film.

• Restore the announcement on Jedha about the missing cargo pilot.

  • With the removal of all the other Bodhi intro scenes, and restoring Cassian’s intro, this helps to remind the audience that they need the Imperial defector pilot to verify the story and locate Galen. Otherwise, he seems kind of useless because Saw is just leading them to Galen, why is Bodhi even needed?

• Change Cassian’s line of “This is a first for me.”

  • Narkina 5

  • “We’ve been in worse cages than this one.” “It’s all the same to me.” “There is more than one sort of prison, Captain. I sense that you carry yours wherever you go.”

• Not essential, but use Ryan Golden (or AI similar to what was used in Obi-Wan Kenobi) to make Vader sound younger and more like how he sounds in A New Hope

• Mon has been resigned from the Senate for several years at this point, but the radio guy on Yavin still chases after her yelling “Senator!!” to inform her of rebels on Scarif. It’s not too major, I just assume he’s calling her that out of respect.

I’ve always interpreted the line as the “fight” being fighting for freedom and not against the Empire itself. People exaggerate as well. If Rogue One came out after Andor I don’t think I’d think twice about that line. Maybe that’s just me.

Currently watching the edit now and making notes. I think this is fine though, Maarva was definitely starting Cassian young on hating the Empire.

After the final episode of Andor, I definitely feel this change should be reverted for the next version of this edit:
