I actaully PREFER seeing the black bars, even on my widescreen TV.

No, I think he's serious. And I agree (yes, believe it or not I'm agreeing with marioxb) that I like the mattes as well. However, as stupid as this sounds, they look better in anamorphic since they're not sharing resolution lines. But I wouldn't want to watch a non-anamorphic disc on a widescreen TV, because I'm not fond of vertical mattes. I'll just take the horizontals.

As for a Wonder Woman movie, I'd like to see one too, but I'd be afraid that it would be another Catwoman.
I think the problem is that for many people (i.e the general public) it would be a big screen movie of an old 70s TV show rather than a comic adaptation. The same with X-Men - for a lot of people it was a movie of a TV show (hence Wolverine's popularity and top billing). If they had made a true X-Men origin movie, the general public would have said 'huh? Iceman? Wasn't he one of Spiderman's friends from that cartoon? And isn't Beast supposed to be blue? Where's Wolverine?' etc.

Yeah. That may be the truth, but it bites.

A well done Wonder Woman movie would be nice, so long as they remember to let Wonder Woman fly naturally as she flies in the modern comic books. There is no way to make the Invisible Jet work in this day and age. If they put the Invisible Jet into a Wonder Woman film, it's gonna turn into a camp fest.

Slight derailment. I couldn't resist. Has anyone seen that episode of Family Guy where they have the cutaway to Wonder Woman in her Invisible Jet? Then Superman flies up beside her. "Um. Wow. This is awkward. Actually, I'm on the invisible toilet right now."

When was the last time you...

My girlfriend and I went to a water park yesterday, and we ended up getting stormed on. Fortunately, we were eating lunch inside at the time. Then a bolt of lightning came, and there was a huge fireball of an explosion right outside the window. I nearly choked on my LT. We found out later that a loudspeaker had been struck and knocked across the park.

But at least we got rain check passes, so now we can come back for free!

Lucasfilm to sell Physical Effects Unit

Well, in II and III, models were used less for ships and the like and more for blue-screen replacement. Miniature sets were built (like the hallways in Kamino and the Geonosian arena), photographed, and comped in around the actors. Hmm, but were there really any models used for Sith? Nothing comes to mind right off. Any help here?

And ThatArtGuy, thanks for correcting me. Yeah, Home on the Range was the last. I didn't see that one either...
