Leia's memory of Padme can be explained by Yoda in ESB:

"Through the Force, things you will see. Other places. The future... the past. Old friends long gone."

Which, once again, is refuted by Lucas himself, back in the 1980s who said that he wanted one of the twins to have memories of their mother. Not Force-induced visions, but actual memories. There's a huge difference. To make ourselves feel better, sure, we can rationalize it, but if you want to get to the nitty-gritty, George dropped the ball, and that's all there is to it.

Leia remembering her mom/the ending of ROTS has never bothered me, because I instantly assumed she was referring to her adopted mother. I don't remember her ever suggesting that she was adopted. And some adopted kids grow old and die without ever knowing that they were adopted. Perhaps Bail and Mrs. Organa wanted to keep the seperation from her parent(s) as large as possible, to keep her away from Li'l Annie. That's how I've always seen it. And as far as luke kissing his sister, it doesn't bother me either. Leia was hot, and Luke didn't know it was his sister. And besides, there was no tongue.

Even though Lucas has stated that he did intend for Leia to be talking about her real mother, because he wanted one of the kids to retain memories of her.

The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe: 1979 Animated VS. 2005 Live-Action

Urm, I believe the 2005 movie is meant to have sequels, which would explain why "TLWW" was just a subtitle.

I'm aware of that. It still doesn't make it any better, in my opinion. I hate all movie series that do that. And, even worse, movies that didn't do that, like The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (which, admittedly, did have a tiny Star Wars at the top) have been renamed to... well, you know. It's as if they think the viewing public is too stupid to realize it's the next movie in the series, so they have to pump up the series name as large as possible and have the real title hidden somewhere at the bottom.

Lucas claims it was always about the twins and the father. A lot of us here think that, based on logic, it was just made up at the time. Even Mark Hamill asked Lucas around the time of filming, "Did you just think that up on the plane ride over here?" It seems more likely that he just made it up, but we'll probably never know for sure.

I remember watching the animated one as a kid, but I don't remember too much about it. But at least it wasn't called, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: *whisper*thelionthewitchandthewardrobe*whisper* like the 2005 one was. I have to admit I'm impressed that they actually decided to do LWW first instead of The Magician's Nephew. Stupid revised order...

The Emperor & line change in ESB SE 1997

Heh, ADM is making something of a joke, but not entirely. You see, the footage they used of Vader arriving in his shuttle is actually an unused take/angle from Return of the Jedi of Vader arriving at the Death Star at the beginning of the movie. If you look closely, you can see Moff Jerjerrod standing there waiting for him.

EDIT: Too many 3PO heads in this thread. I had to break up the monotony!

They were fine with a 14 year old queen. It was when they let Jar Jar get involved with the government that things went to hell! And they let their senator become chancellor. Hell, everything wrong with the galaxy is Naboo's fault, you're right!

EDIT: Including starting the trend of planets having really dumb names (Tatooine is debatable, but he seems to love those oos)!

Yeah, that's the way I always speculated it was supposed to be, but alas, now it's stupid.

As for Leia being the youngest senator, is it possible that the PT ended up contradicting that? We know that Padme was 24 in AOTC, and that she was a senator. And her dialogue seems to indicate that she became a senator immediately after her term as queen ended. We know she was 14 as a queen. She couldn't have been too much older when her term expired, could she? But we also don't know when Leia first became a senator, do we? But it seems likely that they were roughly the same age. Any EU people out there care to help clarify? Shim, I'm looking in your direction!

The Non-Biased PS3 Thread
Time
IF the PS3 does flop, I wonder what will happen to the Final Fantasy franchise? It's been almost exclusive to Sony for nearly a decade. Hironobu Sakaguchi recently started working on some X-Box games, so it could be logical that it could drift to Microsoft. But then again, SE and Nintendo patched up their differences with the merger and a lot of fringe (and remake) titles have been on Nintendo systems, so they could be heading back to their original home.
