Thanks for the solid breakdown! This is exactly what I was looking to find out.
Funny thing is, in my country, Revan is the only book from The Essential Legends Collection that is completely sold out everywhere and impossible to find in bookstores anymore. Safe to say I’m glad I don’t have to hunt it down now.
I’m currently diving deeper into Star Wars EU and buying up the books I never had the chance to read in the past. I’m trying to fill the gaps in my collection, but I’m on the fence about the Old Republic era novels (Revan, Deceived, Fatal Alliance, Annihilation). Are these books still enjoyable and easy to follow as standalone Star Wars stories, or do they rely too heavily on the reader knowing the plot and characters from the games? In other words, if I don’t care much about the gaming side of things, is it still worth buying them for the story alone, or should I just skip them?
My favorite toy line in the 90’s was Micro Machines, so any micro scale SW toy line piques my interest.
I have been aware of the Micro Galaxy Squadron line for a long time, but only recently started collecting it. Actually, I don’t know if I would call it collecting, because I’m very picky and I’m not interested in most models. The first thing I bought for testing was the Imperial Tie Fighter. I was surprised by the attention to detail and quality for the price. I immediately bought more and I sincerely recommend it to those who are hesitant.
Hello from Poland!
