Nero supposedly throws the layer-split into a junky spot, which causes the disc to suck. Aren't I technical with the way I describe things?

I'm using Imgburn. The program says I cannot set the layer split with DVD-R DL media. Basically I made a iso image using the program, then burned the iso with the same program. This is my first time creating a DVD, so I don't know a lot about the process.

Hmm. Thanks for the advice. FWIW - The burner's firmware is current, and I burned at 4X. I'll try a DVD+R DL to see how that works. The DVD-R DL media that I used is Verbatim.

So I have a question to anyone that has burned the Dual Layer version.

I finally found some DVD-R DL media. Made one coaster, but the second try was successful. Popped it into my Oppo DVD player, and the movie came right up - Great. However, it appears that the video has some "stutter". The audio sounds great though.

Tried it on two different DVD players - same result. Try two different computer DVD drives - same result. Has anyone else seen this?

The source material seemed to play just fine FWIW.
