I bought mine on Ebay cheap. It's actually the European theatrical release, so there's a tacked on ending to 'resolve' the initial story which is neat to see...

Since is the non-Star Wars thread...

Are there any suggestions or projects that people are hoping for? What got me started was an idea to re-edit ARMAGEDDON so that it didn't suck, then maybe to combine it with DEEP IMPACT. But, I've also been casting around for some new ideas. I think what would be really fun is to merge 2 or 3 very different movies (maybe with some common actors) into a weird epic mash-up.

I'm not really a fan of chronological edits., just for that sake.

I'd probably want to use FWWM as flashbacks, like you suggested, but only during the 2nd season.

Just cutting out as much 'James&Donna' would be a thrill...

I have to finish up my JACOB'S LADDER edit (deleted scenes re-inserted) first, then I'll scout out TP...

A re-edit of the entire Twin Peaks story is a great idea. The only problem I see you runing into is Donna.
The thing I would love to see removed is the entire James & the Rich Woman story from the second season.
Oh! And cut down the Little Nicky stuff to just a little joke, not a major plot.

I have the Twin Peaks trading cards if you would want to use them as stills for a DVD extra. I also have the rare re-mix Extended Play CD.

I made my own DVD of Season 2, & include the 'Agent Cooper Audio Tapes' as my DVD extra. That was before I knew what I was doing, so it would be sweet to start all over and do something really detailed & HQ.

I had an old article listing the differences between the laserdisc releases and the eventual DVD, as well as the list of missing yet filmed scenes.

~was hoping someone had access to those...

I might still do a re-edit of the show episode. Might need to think about that one...

I know there was some serious cuts made & that thing was chopped way down, but haven’t heard of any bootlegs. I’d like to take a shot at a TWIN PEAKS project next.

I had already made my own Season 2 DVDs from the Spanish set that came out, but a ‘re-edit’ of the whole thing would be sweet…

The only reason I haven't yet is that it's such a big DVD. There's a Divx torrent out there, but the actual DVD is a DL 8.5gb. I made some pretty nice menus, etc. - but didn't feel like uploading that much on a torrent. Might be easier to split into 2 dvds, since the story does have a distinct act break...

I worked the footage from 'The Kid' story intercut with the first film, and essentially combined the 2nd & 3rd with some serious re-arranging. Early cuts had a lot more ANIMATRIX footage but it felt forced, so I ended up cutting it. Plus, I wanted to get as close to 4hrs as possible. It's surely not perfect, and there were choices I later regretted & wouldn't mind changing, but I'm not going to go back & get all George Lucas on the thing. It is what it is.

There's definitely another 'edit' to be made by adding that stuff in, but it wasn't the film I was going for...

Anyone interested in a 4hr17min edit of the Matrix Trilogy? I called it MATRIX:REGENERATED.

There's a really nice Widescreen DVD that I made & sent to some friends a few months ago. There's also a torrent of it currently floating around. I'd love to enter it in your Fan Edit contest, if someone points me in the right direction...

I took all 3 films, plus some of the Animatrix, and made a much different film out of it. I described the process HERE, but I'd be glad to chip in & help anyone who has questions about doing their own. It was a lot of fun...The biggest leap I made was replacing the English audio with a dubbed Chinese track, then I could alter the subtitles to suit my new plotline. Also, Keanu is much more tolerable when some Chinese actor has dubbed his voice...heh heh.

I used the NLE system of VEGAS VIDEO, which allowed for a very professional-looking end product.

I was inspired by that Phantom Edit originally, but am not such a super-Matrix fan that I didn't mind really changing it
