R2-D2 is omniscient
R2-D2 is omniscient
I guess they heard the complaints that The Bad Batch had too many cameos of characters from other shows, and decided to just give us a Rebels episode where the Bad Batch themselves are the ones making the cameo.
I’m not even complaining, I really liked this episode.
The Emperor planned for the first Death Star to get destroyed. It was his way of getting rid of Tarkin and his crew of Moffs.
The song “Innuendo” by Queen seems to fit really well with Obi Wan’s fight against Darth Maul:

If anyone’s still around on this thread and saw that last post, could someone try it with Poe’s lines “I know it’s a rough ride, but stay locked on Rey’s course” and “Look at that fleet!” from the Battle of Exegol? I would do it myself but it looks like this program only works on windows and I have a mac.
Did anyone else think the setting for this episode looked a lot like the ship from Close Encounters of the Third Kind? The body in the tube looked almost exactly like one of the aliens from that movie, too. I know they were the inspiration for the Kaminoans’ design, but this seemed to take it a step further.
When the stormtroopers are searching for Leia on the Tantive IV, have one of them say this:

On the subject of adding Exegol to the prequels, maybe there’s a way for the lab where Darth Vader is created to be on Exegol. Because as a kid (who was too young to see Revenge of the Sith when it first came out and so had to learn the story from the ROTS video game, which only shows the lab from the inside) I assumed they must have been on Korriban or something. I was actually kind of disappointed when I learned it was just Coruscant.
I think it makes more sense if Exegol was the place they went after Moraband fell, because we’ve already seen Moraband and there’s less reason for the characters to need to look for it. Especially since the character who initially says “Exegol does not appear on any star chart” is R2-D2, the one character who should know exactly where Moraband is, since he’s already been there.
Mace Windu saw that tumblr post about how it’s classism to kill the goons but spare the main villain, and that’s why he was so intent on killing Palpatine.
Appeal to gamers by changing the action sequences and lightsaber fights into a first-person perspective.
Appeal to gamers by inserting Sc. 38 Reimagined into ANH.
Appeal to gamers by (poorly) converting all scenes from all movies into 120fps.
Not to be overly pedantic, but the design is slightly different. The armor is slimmer and more angular than normal FO stormtroopers, and the helmets have black lines down the center like Clone Trooper helmets.
Which unfortunately means I can’t add more footage of Sith Troopers by colorizing unused stormtrooper footage from the TFA trailer…
Slams fist Red armor is cool, dammit!
All of the 3D cartoons are actually live-action, and vice versa. That’s just what people look like in the GFFA.
Yeah. That scene had always confused me because (1) nobody notices Count Dooku’s ship returning to Coruscant, and (2) the creepy lair where they meet is never shown again (aside from one of Yoda’s visions in TCW). Replacing it with the temple on Exegol would solve both problems.
Ooh, and then maybe I could color-correct my edit of CW03 so that Exegol is where Dooku meets Ventress. I’d have to remove a lot of stuff that contradicts it, but it might help tie everything together.
The death of Pateesa (Jabba’s Rancor) prompted Harambe-style uproar within the crime underworld.
Did they rename Jabba’s rancor? Or is this a different Rancor?
A wookiee isn’t allowed to receive a formal award for something done in service of a life-debt; that’s why Chewie didn’t get a medal until TROS.
Are other planes of existence acceptable?
Luke didn’t know about Jedi funeral traditions at the time of ROTJ; he burned Anakin’s body because he was afraid the Ewoks would eat it otherwise.
I haven’t had the energy to talk about this movie at all lately. But here’s something: does Anakin’s voice say “bring back the balance, as I did”? or something to that effect? because that always struck me as an awful line. He didn’t bring back crap
What are you talking about? Palpatine did die, albeit temporarily. In TLJ Luke specifically says “for many years, there was balance” when talking about the time between episodes 6 and 7.
After Ben dies, Rey gains the ability to channel his spirit, Ace-Attorney-Style.
I really don’t like the “Anthem of Evil” motif in TROS. As a full piece, it’s good, but the melody alone just feels like it’s constantly interrupting itself. Personally, I would either remove its uses from the movie or find a way to add in the album version.
Has anyone tried making an Audio-Only edit? I dunno about anyone else, but I sometimes listen to Star Wars movies with audio description when I’m doing chores and stuff, and it feels like editing that could bridge the gap between rewrites and fanedits. We couldn’t write new dialogue, but we could move it around more easily. And scenes that people have said they wanted to see - like a kiss between Finn and Poe, or Rey showing up to rescue the kids on Canto Bight - could be narrated into existence.
I really think we should move this discussion to the main thread.
