In 1977 it was the story of a kid with hopes of adventure dashing off to save a princess with a sarcastic pilot and a furry alien. That can never be repeated. The sincerity, the naivety, the lack of pretension can never be repeated.

The original looks like a 2 ft Mr Miyagi. Intense, Serene and Benevolent

The other looks a bit stoned!

Slave 1 blasting the hell out of everything in the asteroid scene. Unfortunately he was up against Obi-Wan so ........blasts like a myopic stormtrooper......

I think it was the first time I´ve ever seen a spaceship spit lead (or ion or whatever) with the brute power of modern weapons and not ZAP............ZAP.............ZAP...........like you usually see
