My lad got a General Grievous mask for Christmas. Recently he's really gotten into it.

Having never seen ROTS, he calls the mask "Bad Guy" and alternates between it and his Darth Vader mask.

My boy (2 1/2) also really digs the cartoon from The Holiday Special.

You've never seen Revenge of the Sith? (Or is it your Kid who hasn't seen it?)

Either way, Awesome. That's just way awesome. I wish I had never seen it.

Why was I 14 in 2005 and wanting to see it? WHY?!?!?!

Your first reaction to Hayden is ROTJ

I'm the type of guy that can normally just take the changes with a grain of salt and say "oh fxcking well" and move on with my life. This alteration was a little bit much though. Despite the fact that Hayden had an awkward look of "Yeahhh, sorry about all that killing stuff..." on his face, it was just insincere. When I was little, I would cry when I saw Anakin at the end because he looked so peaceful, and so happy.

They should have done something with like, Hayden Christianson fading into the old-guy Anakin. That would have been an acceptable change in my books.

Speaking of which, is there any truth to Hayden Christensen's claim as to not knowing he was going to be edited into the end of "Jedi"; I read that some where

What do you LIKE about the EU?
Time

Not sure if it has been mentioned (it very likely has), but I like Splinter of the Minds Eye.

It shows Luke fighting Vader, before he fought Vader (hipster Luke???) and Luke's lightsaber worked underwater somehow, and I liked the introduction to Force-artifacts with the Kaiburr Crystal.

There was another one that I enjoyed. It had Leia with yellow lightsaber on the cover, and the novel had something about her killing a Hutt that's all I recall. read that when I was 12/13

Anyone know which novel this is?

My reaction was sheer utter confusion the last time I saw it, which was I think at least three years ago.

I admit it, though, when the 2004 special edition came out, I was 13 and I thought it was a really cool change.

I never understood what Lucas was trying to achieve when replacing Sebastian with Hayden.

I've heard that Lucas wanted the face that was a Jedi, but even then, that face turned to the dark side.

If anything, it makes more sense to keep Sebastian. That face made the sacrifice, killed the Emperor and redeemed himself.

What if??? (Star Wars Reboot)
Time

I agree that the franchise has been over-saturated with content, and I believe a clean slate would be nice.

But if one was done, I can only image what kind of constraints it would have on the story as it would have to keep things that have happened in the comics, shows and other movies relevant, but hey.

Star Trek got away with, at least I think it did for the most part.

If one did happen, I wonder in what order they'd be rebooted? I wouldn't mind if they started with "Phantom Menace", but likely the films would be rebooted in order of release - and in the process anger many, many, many, many, many fans in the process.

I only want the new trilogy rebooted, but I honestly cannot see it rebooted for at least 20+ years.

Optimistically, 15 years.
