Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Here’s the comment I posted on *** video and it got promptly deleted:
“I really wish people would stop supporting this a-hole - it makes me furious that I keep seeing people posting links to his site in every Despecialized discussion. By making profit from these edits (and make no mistake, he is - the cost of materials is nowhere near that high and paying him for his work means he’s making a profit) he is seriously endangering the continued existence and updating of the edits - the only reason the studios turn a blind eye to fan edits is because no profit is being made!!! That’s why I have the no selling or buying rule, it’s not some effing whim.”

Reposted it. Suggest other people do the same if we want him to get the message.

Well, im a day late and a dollar short on this thread, but I couldnt resist not giving my 2¢. My opinion of changing AR is 2 fold. First, I HATE IT!!!

Then you DEFINITELY don’t want to see Kong: Skull Island! I watched it last night via HBO streaming and the aspect ratio literally changed shot-to-shot for the entire film. It drove me nuts! Haha I don’t mind it if it’s for a scene here or there, as in TFA, but this was horribly distracting and amateurish.

Yeah, it also drive me crazy in Transformers The Last Knight!

I noticed some inconsistencies with the prequel covers so I just updated my original post. Be sure to refer to that instead of the replies.

I noticed puppet Yoda on the phantom menace cover and was wondering if you based it off of a “Despecialized” sort of theatrical reconstruction of the phantom menace. Does a theatrical version exist, and I can I find it on the spleen or something?

How to watch star wars the force awakens "Target Bonus Features"?
Time

I assume it’s still available from Movies Anywhere??

Nope, sadly. I bought the 3d collecters edition and the bonus features for that did not redeem. While on the phone with someone at movies anywhere, they said that they only have the standard edition bonus features on the site right now for the force awakens. But the disc has all the features that the target has I guess, so that’s ok.

If you simply want to ensure you have every official & non-official version of Star Wars (Episode IV) in your collector’s edition, this thread may be of use to you, particularly NeverarGreat’s index towards the end:

Hey, welcome to the Forum. Take a look around for a bit - you’ll find many new members have attempted to start similar projects. Perhaps someone is already doing what you’re looking for. The job may seem easy going in, but creating a truly unique new fan release that is very difficult to do considering the quality of work being done by various members here.

Otherwise, Good Luck.

*Hint: Asking for help in the first post, without laying out details of EXACTLY what you’d like to do, what you plan to include so far, etc. is unlikely to get your project much attention. Usually, members here judge whether to follow a project based on their belief that you are putting a lot of effort into it. So far you’ve shown only that you know the years in which the most prominently-changed "updates’ of Star Wars were released.

Sorry for the confusion, all I want to do is put together a set of discs that contain many releases of Star Wars. I don’t want to replicate any projects like Harmy’s despecialized, TN1’s silver screen edition or Harmy’s respecialized edition. All I want to do is put together a collection of all Star Wars releases. That included the 2004 dvd as well as the 2011 blu ray. I was just wondering if there was any releases that I was missing. I don’t plan on starting projects to improve the quality of these releases to HD or anything, I just want to put together a collection. If it’s on laserdisc or vhs, I can put it to dvd, simple as that.

That’s fine, I don’t know how to remove it but I assume that you do, so I’ll let you take care of that if that’s what you want me to do, thank you for your time.
