Well, guess we have differetn taste in women, too. That's life.

I dream of her all the time.
That's because you're sixteen and don't know what the true values of a woman are. Okay, tastes are different, so there.

The action bored you. You must have no addrenaline. [...]
Really? There is a difference between stupid action and action that derives from formerly built-up tension. Unfortunately, AotC had almost only the former, and THAT's boring.

Quote

Its a stratagy of throwing everything at the audience that worked so well.
Well, there are people who prefer to chew before they swallow, you know?

Quote

Attack of the Clones borrows elements from Shackspeare, fall of Rome, and a little Tolkein.
I don't know which of these comparisons I find most blasphemic! *lol*

Quote

It had the same well done story and dark feel that I loved about The Empire Strikes Back but adds a level of excitement and technical marvel that beats it all.
Now, THIS is definitely the top of all your blasphemous rant. *nudge*

*L* Really? Hmm, I'm almost 29. There goes your point (bye bye!).

Quote

Return of the Jedi was more a kids movie then any of the Star Wars movies.
You must have fallen asleep during TPM then (I know I did ... twice).

Quote

Attack of the Clones was so well done. I can't pinpoint anything about it that I don't like.
Good for you. I can.

Quote

Integration of action and story was done in a way few movies can match.
Pfffft... the romance between Padme and Anakin came totally out of the blue, as did most of the other storylines. The plot seemed pushed, not as if it developed "naturally", so to speak. Only the Obi-Wan scenes were truly worth watching, IMO.

Quote

Natalie Portman nuff said.
Sorry, but I don't think she's got any charisma (she's a good actress, but she's not hot, just pretty). By the way, now I get a mental image of Jack Osborne stalking Natalie at the Grammys .... ewww.

Quote

The most exciting war sequence ever.
What??? That was the lamest about the whole movie! I almost napped off!!

Quote

Attack of the Clones has no equal or better.
I guess good thing for us that you don't produce movies.

Quote

[...] It has a lot more responsiblity ending the series then The Phantom Menace does beginning it. This makes Return of the Jedis numerour flaws less forgivable.
What you consider flaws, I consider history. There you go. You just can't convince me, sorry. So no need to argue this over again and again.

Tsk, I don't think there is ANYTHING "wrong" with RotJ. It's a great movie!

I'd rather know what's wrong with George Lucas for not releasing the original theatrical cuts of ep. IV-VI ?! *lol*

Jokes aside, how can any Star Wars fan consider RotJ worse than AotC or even TPM? That is beyond me, because those two were quite disappointing, forced and without substance. Okay, the first half of AotC was really good and promising (I was so excited while watching it on the big screen, expecting it to be all I had hoped for...), but than everything went downhill.

Well, that's my opinion.

And here my rankings:

1. TESB
2. ANH
3. RotJ
.
.
[insert huge gap]
.
.
9. AotC
10. TPM

Exqueeze me?? Darth Maul sucked ass. All the villains in Ep.1 and 2 were quite pathetic so far. That includes Maul who did not "work out" for me.

So, leave everybody to their own opinion and stop insulting them!

Totally! No need to buy an Xbox.

This is one of the best games EVER, it rocks! And as mentioned before, it really has a Star Wars feel to it, much more so than Episodes 1-3 have.

Quote

I think it is a great game, but a little over rated.
Why?? It's the only game that managed to make me addicted enough to play it 24 hours in one session! *L* (not the whole game, mind you .... that would take another three or even four 24 hour sessions )

Quote

I find some parts slow & monotonous, but in all I would recommend it.
Well, if you consider parts where you have to rather think and walk around a lot in order to get stuff done instead of hack and slay and shoot your way through the game "monotonous", then you're right.

Quote

It takes a kick-ass PC to really take full advantage of though.
Not true. My PC is not a "high end" computer compared to latest standards (I have 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, a 128 MB FX 5600 grafic card, etc.), but it's well configured -- that's the trick. If you have tons of unnecessary programs running in the background that eat your memory away and slow the comp down, then you're lost whenever you want to play one of the newer 3D games.

Sequel Trilogy? Say it's so!
Time
Actually, I would love to see a sequel with the original cast. At least they can act and it's not all about "fresh young flesh" (such as Hayden Christensen, who's all cute and charismatic, but can't act if his life depended on it *lol*).

But then again, that sequel should have been shot maybe in the late 80's/early 90's. Now it really seems kinda late for it. And I wouldn't want a sequel that dosen't involve the original characters.

What would also be cool is a movie in the style and era of "Knights of the Old Republic" -- that game has so much class, it truly radiates the spirit of original SW, much more than Episode 1-3 do. Would make a great trilogy, but it wouldn't be a sequel, obviously.

Ahhh, so you like the opera, eh?

but the one that caught my eye was The Bitter Suite. That was an amazing musical! Best. Television. Musical. Ever.
Yessss!!! Good taste there! *g*

Quote

The music fit the story, the characters, the drama
I was frankly said shocked the first time I ever watched it, because it was reeeeal heavy stuff, but then again most of season 3 was a shocker, ergo I survived it.

Quote

and it was wonderful looking to boot (the CD soundtrack was the only gift of mine that my ex ever loved, and kept).
Oh no. That's a crime! *L*

Quote

You a fan of the series?
Well... I used to be one of those so-called hardcore nutballs. I even composed smoe Xena fan music (you could check my website for that).

That was before season 5 hit the air, though. All of a sudden, the show turned into something too pathetic to watch.

But yeah, I guess you could still call me a fan. I have season 1-4 on DVD.

Games worth spending money on should be bought, not downloaded.

Anyway, my all-time favorites:

The Eye of the Beholder series -Amiga-
The Baldur's Gate series (incl. add-ons and unofficial add-ons) -PC-
The Icewind Dale series (ditto) -PC-
The Neverwinter Nights series -PC-
The Half-Life series -PC-
Xena: Warrior Princess (believe me, it's quite addictive ) -PlayStation-

....and new(er) ones:

Max Payne 2 -PC-
Far Cry -PC-

I actually prefer the opera, but I also like operettas a lot (you know, the predecessors of musicals, something between opera and musical ... but it has more class than most musicals do .... I hate Andrew Lloyd Webber's stuff, except for his awesome Requiem ... err, back to operettas) :

The Bat
Madamme Butterfly
Countess Mariza
Land of Smiles
The Merry Widow
Orpheus in the Underworld
etc.

(I don't know the English titles of most other operettas, sorry...)

Oh, and as for musicals:
The Bitter Suite (that's the Xena musical, and it rocked !!!)

Yeah, wasn't that the cutest? I went to see it with a friend, and he went, "Damn, I thought he'd stay with her. I was hoping for a 'happy ever after', hmm."

Then I had to exlpain that that would have ruined the whole point of the movie : That often in life you meet someone who you immediately click with and who enriches your life forever, even though you hardly know them and they might be gone as quickly as they came.

But hey, we're getting off-topic here. *g*
