Sounds fun!
Sounds fun!
The Bad Batch has been one of those shows I wished was just a few episodes shorter so it could really tighten up the story, but it started and ended strong. Looking forward to next season!
I would have liked to have seen the main characters of the original trilogy not lead such miserable lives after Return of the Jedi. I wrote a whole long thing here, then realized it wasn’t much better than what Disney did and backspaced it.
Maybe we just didn’t need more movies in the Skywalker Saga. But no matter what I did, there would have been a plan. You can deviate from the plan a bit if you want, but there needs to be one. You can’t go from movie to movie not knowing what’s coming next or you wind up with Episode IX. That was how they really failed.
will there be as bonus the making of star wars release?
Yes, we have scanned 2 x 16mm prints. Just need to clean them up.
Well, that made my day!
Was this the series finale? It felt like the resolution of the entire story.
“…When I left you [from our last encounter], I was but the learner [of the dark side]…”
“Obi-wan once thought as you do… [no for real, we met again at some point and he told me]”
And, while we’re at it, “I wanted my son to have my lightsaber when he was old enough, but now you’ve taken that from me too!”
I know what site I’m on, so there may be a few people who don’t like this decision, or care. But I’m not one of them.
This man’s a good actor. It’s about time he had another bash at the role.
I agree with that. I think there’s only so much you can do with the Attack of the Clones script.
‘Hayden Christensen returns as Darth Vader, joining Ewan McGregor in OBI-WAN KENOBI. The Original Series begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Revenge of the Sith, and is coming to #DisneyPlus.’

The link also has the title reveal for the series, but I have no clue on how to post that on here (so click on the link to see it) 😃
Exciting stuff! But I guess the two of them can never come face to face in the show, right? Tarkin and Vader seemed genuinely surprised that Obi-Wan was still alive all these years later, to say nothing of “when I left you I was but the learner…”
It’s… [sighs] fine.
Solid episode, but I don’t remember Boba Fett being that great of a fighter. I think if he fought half as hard as he did in this episode during Return of the Jedi, Luke, Lando, Han and Chewie wouldn’t have made it off that sail barge alive.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a comic book or a trilogy of Disney+ animated movies with George’s version, but otherwise, maybe it’s just time to let the Skywalker saga go. The Mandalorian has made big strides in showing us fun Star Wars stories don’t even need to feature these characters.
My favorite covers were the THX mastered VHS tapes from 1995 with the big images of Vader, the stormtrooper and Yoda. I loved the simplicity and iconic art style. Also, not original trilogy related, but my true favorite Star Wars cover is the US Best Buy steelbook of Rogue One. It’s a minimalist masterpiece.
On a personal note, I wouldn’t mind having an official release of something along the lines of D77+ or whatever it might be called currently. Basically the theatrical cut with redone/recomposited optical effects.>
I’d buy that in a heartbeat, but then, I buy everything they release so I’m probably not one to talk.
A bit of a bump, but I think it is one worthwhile given the topic 😃.
Excellent work compiling all that.
I actually do like Jedi Rocks as a song, but not in the context of this movie. Lapti Nek all the way.
I think RotJ is, for the most part, better than a lot of the SW movies that came after it. But I also feel like it’s the one that suffered the most from Lucas’ changes, which contributes to me feeling like it’s the weakest of the original three. The Jedi Rocks dance number, Ghost Hayden and Vader’s added “No!” were awful additions and it leaves me borderline angry whenever I watch them.
Just dropping in to give Rogue One some love 😃
I have a (loose) Darth Vader Kenner figure from the Return of the Jedi era, but all my favorite stuff is from the 90s.
Very exciting stuff!
I wish I would’ve seen it in 3D when it was rereleased.
The funny thing about the 3D version was I remember it being almost perfect except for one moment during the pod race when Anakin fixes something broken on the pod by pointing a tool at the screen. Because it was one long object meeting at a head, it caused the only moment of ghosting I had seen in the whole film. At the time, I forgave it, but when I later learned that that scene was added in later it made me a lot more annoyed. Like, it could have been perfect if you could just leave your movies alone.
Just wanted to drop in and say I only discovered your various Episode I projects a few months ago, but I’m so excited to see someone doing this. I really never thought I’d see a theatrical Phantom Menace again.
I’d love a link too, if still available.
