Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

I have to say I'm actually surprised there are so few changes, just R2 in the rocks in Star Wars, none so far in Empire and it seems like Jedi was the one he decided to fuck up more for this release. It's funny, in 97 he obviously ruined Star Wars the most, in 04 I'd say Empire was the most screwed up what with Boba's voice and the Emperor's new dumb dialogue. Now it was Jedi's turn.

But seriously I was kinda expecting all sorts of prequel shit, like Padme's photos on Obi-Wan's house or colored Stormtroopers. Lucas probably restrained himself to please us!

Ok, I found my copy of "The Sounds of Star Wars":

An interim crow sound was tried before Burtt arrived and recorded Wood and Acord in the parking lot behind the Tech Building. "He sourced from Dave and me yelling" Wood says. "We screamed and screamed. I was trying to model mine off this terrible, cheesy element that I love from a Disneyland ride, The Haunted Mansion: ah, ah, ahooooooah!"

Utimately, Burtt blended the screams -with Acord starting the scream and Wood ending the scream. "It sounds like some kind of weird animal but coming from a human" says Wood

And they have added a bloody Dug into jabbas Palace walking down the steps. Definitely forcing the prequels down our throats

A Dug? As in fucking Sebulba?

And after what they did to poor Wicket, those rumors about Jabba being "digitally more expressive" or whatever shit it was could very well be true.

It's quite telling that the 97 SEs are now seen as acceptable. By 2020 when the movies are released in whatever new format, we'll be praying that George just gives us the 2011 "R2 in the rocks & blinking Wicket" versions.

It's also amazing not only the terrible decisions to make the changes but how poorly they are made, even if some twisted mind thinks it's great to have Vader yell NOOOOO!!! at the end of Jedi, it just sounds horrible, you can tell right away that it wasn't recorded at the same time.

Anyway, the movies need more NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

They should add the NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! to Empire when Luke cuts Vader head in Dagobah.

And in Jedi after Luke says that he feels the conflict in his father and Vaders throws his saber, another perfect scene for more NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

That's right, it's great that one of the most iconic prequel moments is finally getting the respect it deserves. I suggest the "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!" is added to Star Wars when Vader loses control of his TIE.  And then to ESB when he enters the Hoth hangar and the falcon is just leaving, or after Luke jumps, or both.

Seriously this has to be George just giving us the finger.

Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)
Time

Well, I tried with ImgBurn with Windows and it burned the disc, but when it was verifying it, there was an error, and sure enough the disc doesn't play properly, it's like some parts of the film are missing and it just skips them. Oh well, I'm just going to give up with this.

Anyway from what little I could see with the damaged disc (and unless it's because the disc didn't burn properly) the colors are strange. Did you mean to make it so bright and saturated (for lack of better terms, english is not my first language) Harmy?

@Diego: How about using ImgBurn on some kind of Windows emulator? Or maybe using a friend's computer?

I'd rather not use a windows emulator, but I was already thinking about using another computer, however that is not without some other complications, I need a HD formatted with FAT32 or whatever it's called (the one that can be used on both Macs and PCs), but that can only write files up to 4 GB in size, so I have to take the rar parts, unrar them there, install ImgBurn and hope the burner can burn DL DVDs.

I do appreciate your concern.

BTW, is ImgBurn complicated?
