I think he should release the OOT in a DVD set specifically for the fans. They are the historical movies rather he likes it or not. I've have never seen the OOT in it's entirety and I would like see how the the theatrical cuts were. I believe somewhere in the near future though Lucasfilm will release them.

HAHAHAHA!!! This is a very ironic post here because I am the very person who posted that message on TFN.com

I am a member here as well. I was basically telling people what I read from the Making Of Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith. George Lucas does mention a sequence in ESB(The Cloud City fly-by scene) that he wants to be redone for future releases. He watched the films in theaters and looked at how well Lowry Digital cleaned them up. Just read the book, it tells you all about. I'm very glad to know my post has peaked interest in other forum groups as well.

Yeah thats what I'm looking for the one Jedi/Feda put together from the laserdisc collection. What was the DVD called and where can I find it? Also I have known about "Special Edition Hype" for quite a while and I still have not gotten it. Where can I get it as well?

I was wondering has anybody made a DVD with ‘Special Edition’ making ofs or behind the scenes material? I know the laserdisc has some sort of documentary or featurettes that sound interesting that I would like to see. Also there should be much more because I remember there being lots of bts material from 1997. This can be an interesting project for anyone who is up to. Make a DVD with BTS footage and docs on the Special Edition. I personally would like to know some of the reasons George wanted to make changes the OT.

If you go to this site according to IMDB.com Lucasfilm owns the rights to the special edition and FOX owns the rights to the original version. Maybe talking to FOX will get the OT released since Lucas doesn't technically own. But the SE is 95% the OT so how does he own the SE and noth OT?
