Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**
Time

I only found out the proper name for lens flares since Abrams got the directorial nod.  Before I called them "those bright lights that glare into the camera that used to be avoided at all costs."  Wooden acting is one thing but catching camera glare and publishing it on the big screen isn't a good thing in my book.  Star Trek 2009 would have been an awesome film if it wasn't for the flashing and glaring lights, it became distracting.  I hope he doesn't bring his lens flare garbage to Star Wars, it'll be the thing that would allow me to sever ties with the SW universe.

Mysterious Mysteries cover?
Time
Sorta off-topic, but I print all of my covers on very heavy-weight legal paper. It's about the thickness of a regular 3x5 or 4x6 card.

brand:Springhill
size: Legal
weight:147 g/m2

It's very stiff and has an excellent surface for printing with my deskjet. It also folds perfect creases along the spine when you put it in the case and close it.

I went to Staples and OfficeMax and OfficeDepot looking for this kind of paper, but I wound up finding it in a specialty paper shop in town. Check your yellow pages. It was less than $10 (I think that I paid $7 or $8 actually) for 250 sheets of this heavy stock stuff.

<strong>The &quot;Dr. Gonzo&quot; Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread</strong> (Released)
Time
Dr. Gonzo...

First off let me say that's its a sad day with Hunter passing on. He's a personal favorite, and judging from your nick, you're into him too.

OK...since you have PM's shut off and I don't have any other way to contact you, I'm making a request in this public forum. There have been some calls over at a.b.starwars to post your trilogy. There have been 3 seperate requests for your specific OT over the past 2 months. I personally enjoy your version of the OT and would love to share it.

There's no rush on an answer, but would you mind if I posted your OT?

Thanks in advance. You can PM me with your answer.

I'm not sure what you meant in your last post but I think that it is one of two things:

first thing that it may be...you somehow wiped out existing posts. well, to get all existing headers in a group do the following...in agent go to alt.binaries.starwars and on the top bar of agent go to the "online" drop-down menu and choose "get all headers in selected groups". That will get all of the posts that your newsserver has for alt.binaries.starwars then you should be able to download what you missed.

second thing that it may be...your ISP's newsserver has bad retention and the posts timed out. In that case you may have to shell out a few bucks to get a premium newsserver (well worth it). I use the "unlimited dsl" account from news.astraweb.com for $15 a month but they also have many other accounts to choose from that can fit pretty much any budget.

hopefully with my scattershot response I solved the issue.

p.s. the tutorial is on temporary hiatus...I have a big new project in the works.
Until then go here for usenet tutorial help: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

STAR WARS: The Torrents thread

I don't think that the creator actually took offense judging from their tone, I just think that they wanted a name of their choice attached to their creation. I definitely like the compromise that you came up with Rik, hopefully the original creator will too.

By the way, the first EditDroid disc is wicked awesome! The pre-ANH star wars and the DVD covers are great, I can't wait for the rest of the trilogy to trickle on down.

Thanks go to the"EditDroid" creator for bringing us these masterpieces and to Rikter for getting them distributed.
