Hi poppasketti - these changes sound amazing! May I please have a link to this edit?

Hi Neverar - I’ve read so many good things about this edit and am curious to check it out! May I please have a link as well?
Sherlock’s edit smooths over the gap I was noticing - the timing of the music score itself worked for me, but there was an audible shift between sources, so it didn’t sound 100% seamless. Sherlock’s version sounds perfect to me, flows very well as one piece!
Hal, this edit is awesome and I’m so glad I came across it! TROS is so frustrating in many ways, and I love seeing some of those nagging issues fixed here.
I tried to catch up to date on this thread as best I could, so I apologize if I’m treading on ground already covered on an older page - are there any plans to modify the music transition to end credits? The shift was a little jarring when I heard it the first time, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to smooth it out some more. If this hasn’t been brought up, might it be something I should try testing out in Audacity?
I didn’t think I would ever find a perfect fan edit of the Hobbit that hit all my personal marks, but I honestly can’t think of a more definitive version than this one. I really enjoyed the Maple edit a while back but couldn’t shake a couple nagging things I disagreed with (cutting Beorn’s EE scene and Thorin’s funeral were things I would have preferred).
Your M4 edit has truly become my go-to version of these movies. I always enjoyed the Hobbit trilogy, more than the average person I would guess, but I saw them as heavily flawed with a really great movie buried underneath. Amazing job with this, and thank you for giving me my gateway into the fan edit rabbit hole!
Thank you so much! I feel what you mean, making a Hobbit edit is basically like putting together a puzzle in a very specific way, some pieces excluded, some included, some in different orders, and how they’re all formed comes down to the editor’s vision (personal preference), so it can be very hard to find one that you mostly agree with. Just glad to see others happen to have a similar vision as me!
Absolutely. A friend of mine loved the book when he was a kid but despises the films for all the excess, so I’m really looking forward to showing him this edit.
