Hey, thanks! Just checked that out on YouTube - Certainly a step in the right direction there. But he’s still speaking in English, with (a New Zealand?) accent.
I think having an alien language and the freedom then to alter dialogue would go even further.
I wouldn’t worry about the Sequel Trilogy because it doesn’t really tie to OT anyway, nor have a consistent story worth rebooting.
But what I would like to see is Episodes 4-6 made as a continuation of the Prequels.
I don’t consider the prequels to be set in the same continuity as the OT anyway, so I feel like the Episodes 4-6 don’t exist for these prequel characters anyway.
And Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen have already shown they’d be up for, and suitable, to play their parts again, so why not…
Hi. New to this site and just wondering where I can see this revised Episode 1?
One of my main reasons for signing up here was to ask if anyone has ever made or even proposed edits I’ve been thinking about, which I believe would go some way to salvaging The Phantom Menace.
These are basically sound edits - Namely, entirely replacing Jar Jar and the rest of the Gungan’s voices and using a deeper tone and alien language. This would allow all Jar Jar’s dialogue to be replaced with something more credible delivered via subtitles.
Every time I watch ROTJ I miss Yub Nub…
I don’t. Because every single time I watch ROTJ, as soon as the Ewok horns sound, I stop my DVD and watch the original film ending on YouTube.
Prefer Yub Nub but mostly I cannot stomach watching the Hayden Christensen force ghost appear, rather than Anakin Skywalker.
