STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
Complete NooB question...

I'm trying to burn the TS video folder which is loaded with files and the empty TS audio folder via simple drag and drop onto a dvdr on my new Mac...is this the correct method?

When it's done will the disc simply function as a working DVD? I get the feeling it's simply going to burn the files onto the disc and that's it.

I apologize but I've never done this before...lol. Is there another program I should be using?

I have the early file labeled STAR_WARS_REVISITED_NTSC_DVD_5 and I'm about to try (for the first time ever) using my Mac to burn it onto a DVDR. I DL'ed it from a torrent earlier this week.

Is this version okay to burn? I noticed when I extracted the winrar the VIDEO_TS folder has a ton of stuff but the AUDIO_TS folder is empty?

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

It's far too obvious in the new footage that it's just an outtake of Vader arriving on the Death Star II. The hangar is the DS2 hangar, and what is Moff Jejerrod doing there (mouthing his ROTJ lines but with no sound coming out). That either needs to be removed, or some clever digital manipulation (insert Piett in there? Change the background?).

^^ I think the amount of work it would take to insert Piett and actually make the hangar look different isn't worth it. This is probably an area where Ady could just change it back to how it was originally.

"I have no idea if this is even possible, but over on the Starkiller thread about a year ago we talked about during the beginning of ESB, show the DSII being built. I think we put it by Mustafar"

^^ Very interesting idea. It would have to be skeletal though (like in ep. 3)

However I wonder if that would take away the element of surprise when we see the new one in RoTJ?

"This is the first time I've heard of cutting "the kiss" considered as any sort of option at all. Please, Adywan, don't do it. That sort of thing was done in classic tales all the time, and frankly cutting it would be on a par with Greedo shooting first as far as I'm concerned."

^^ As I said, I'm guessing Ady will leave it in so I doubt that you have to worry. I disagree about such a cut being on the same level of Greedo shooting first. Greedo shooting first was flat out awful...it was a product of GL over-thinking a perfect scene years later and altering it badly - TWICE. It also tamed and dumbed down Han's character.

Hey Ady...cool to see that EsB is already in pre-production. I'm sure you'll do another fantastic job.

Here's some of the things I can think of at the moment...Damn, it is cool to be able to make suggestions this time out!

- Yoda is the first thing that I can think of where some tweaks are needed. Perhaps check out RoTS Yoda to see if you could do some subtle (cantina style) CG tweaks to his eyes, ears and face.

- In many of the scenes where Yoda is on Luke's back it's clear he is a puppet bobbing around lifelessly. I'm not sure if there's much you can do about that though? There is also a scene where he is walking back to his home which looks like it may be a midget in costume? Again I'm not sure if this can be helped.

- There are some common things that have already been mentioned such as Luke's saber sound in the cave, the saber colors, the somewhat rough looking taun-tauns.

- I can recall a few matte lines around the asteroids as well.

- I think the controversial decision is going to be whether or not to cut "the kiss". Judging by your restraint on AnH I'm guessing you'll leave it in. I'd vote for it to be cut out though. I look at SW as a Saga. If SW were a true Saga made in order it's just not something that would have been done.
That's all I can think of for now........

WOW - the menus are outstanding Ady. Talk about giving a project your all. I thought I was happy enough with just the DL'ed file but your continuing effort has me pumped to see the official DVD.

BTW there have been a bunch of cool looking covers posted in the last few pages and I just wanted to say nice job guys. I might even try doing one myself.

i'm sure if ady had unlimited resources there are things he would've improved on above and beyond what he has achieved. he has stated there are shots he wanted that just could not be pulled off with the existing material.

^^ This brings up an interesting point, Ady if you were an ILM employee with everything at your disposal what might you have done differently with this otherwise awesome edit?
