Anyone get the recently released Blu-ray of this? I have read it does not look well at all, just curious how are version holds up to the retail version.

Thanks

I pre-ordered it as soon as it went live. It had several delays, but finally got shipped and arrived the other day. The “replica vcr” shtick, or whatever that was called, is literally just printing on the slipcase. Very disappointed by that. Have yet to watch it, but with my colorvision problems (I see colors faded), I couldn’t give a viable review, but can still report on clarity and grain, at least. Gimme a bit and I’ll check it out and post back.

I am curious, though. Despite not having had an official BD release before, aren’t we counting the HDX version available on streaming sites? I just watch it on Vudu when I feel like it, and rarely touch the custom disc anymore.

...everything that was there, well most of them anyways, are still available by uploaded.net links, but they will ALL go back up again at some point.

In my best Inigo Montoya, "Available; You keep on using that word. I do not think it'uh means what you think it'uh means..."

Well, if anyone's in a sharing mood, I'm still wanting Sheena and White Buffalo and would appreciate the links.

And if there's a place you'd like the other stuff seeded instead of MS, just tell me. So long as it's a private tracker I can seed it with gobs of bandwidth. My host now allows open trackers, but caps the upload speed to something ridiculous like 1K, so those are no good.

Hey folks,

Mind if I ask, what happened to all the Team Blu releases on MS? I see that now they're all gone.

I actually rented a seedbox just to download restorations and help keep them seeded, but now all my seeds have gone red, plus I missed a couple, one of which I'm very eager to get ahold of (Sheena).

Are things being withdrawn permanently or being moved elsewhere (I see that at least one author has moved his stuff to TPB)?

This is simply awesome. Brilliantly done, thank you. As a noob to the site, could someone tell me how to locate or acquire uploaded.net links, assuming that's not a verbotten question? The casual reference to them above in the OP makes me assume there's a standard method, so a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated (couldn't find specifics in the FAQ).

BTW, for those interested, I recently discovered that Sheena is on Vudu's at-home D2D (disc to digital) program, so if you've got the DVD you can "upgrade" it and get an HDX (1080p) copy in your library (which also adds the rights for it to Ultraviolet, so you'll have it elsewhere, too). Downside, at least for me, is that the software wouldn't recognize the disc, so I had to take it into a Walmart for manual conversion, and you can't get the discount (half price if you do 10 or more at once) if you go in-store. I've found this is a really cool way to get BR-quality copies of my favorite DVDs that aren't yet out on BR (for the ones they've added so far, anyway).
