Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Redux Ideas thread

I think the Mustafar Minute could be set up by moving the Vader helmet scene to the very end of TLJ.
Kylo had just been tricked by Luke’s force projection, the Resistance escaped, and Rey shut the door of the Falcon on him, so he goes to Vader’s mask for some guidance - which is something he’s been doing since TFA.
When he touches the mask he sees Mustafar (use RO footage or other lava related footage), a brief snippet of a wayfinder and Exegol, throw in a Vader “join me” and a Palps “you will go to the Mustafar system” voiceover, and end the movie.

Reading through this thread and looking over the results of the TROS poll got me thinking about the idea of having Rey be responsible for her parents death. I know that keeping Rey as Palps granddaughter is a less popular option than Rey Nobody, but if an editor were to have Rey kill her parents I think the Rey Palpatine angle works.

This way we keep Rey’s parents as good people who were doing all they could to protect their daughter, and in a fit of uncontrolled childhood rage, she causes their death. When she accepts the truth of this it would serve to compound the feelings of inner conflict and fear she has regarding her own power

Just finished watching TROS. It was a lot to take in, but two things stood out to me above everything else. The first is obviously that Palpatine is back and plays a major role in the story. I suppose one could try to edit that out, but if it’s kept in it seems to me that this information should have been revealed sooner, perhaps at the end of TLJ. Also, the revelation that Leia completed her Jedi training needed to be revealed a long time ago, and not in some comic or cartoon, but in TFA or TLJ.
