Info: Terminator 2 70mm scan
Time

Finding a print to get in your hands would be much more difficult than getting the money to fund a 70mm scan of a feature. Not to mention hard drive space + backup.

However, I don’t want to come across as a dick here. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but it’s highly unlikely that someone could get their hands on a 70mm print of T2 and scan it here.

Hateful 8 Roadshow Cut (Released)
Time

a number of the extra scenes that are extended in the Netflix extended cut arent actually in the roadshow version. there was never a 4K rip of the extended netflix cut released online either.

I’ve spent almost 2 years now trying to get hold of this infamous Lorang edit but it seems everyone who had it has deleted it. I’m sure someone on here still has it but just haven’t read their inbox. they probably wouldn’t be bothered to upload the 13 gb file for sharing anyways.

the title for this thread really should be fixed, the roadshow version hasn’t been released, fan edits attempting to get close to it have.

I know this message doesn’t help much, but thought I’d add it to this thread anyways.

Pink Flamingos (1972) - Uncut VHS Preservation (Released)
Time

This is just information I found about Pink Flamingos, not Multiple Maniacs. but it’s the internet, so my source may be wrong. I agree with your points, 100%.

Update: I emailed criterion asking if it was the original uncut version PF and this is what they replied…

I can confirm that our upcoming release of PINK FLAMINGOS is the original, uncut version: https://www.criterion.com/films/31320-pink-flamingos. I hope this clarifies any confusion.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and thanks for your interest in Criterion!

So it’s confirmed that it is the uncut OG version. but I don’t believe it will have that original soundtrack due to copyright issues. But that’s ok.
I wonder if they will store those original deleted scenes?
Have a great day

Pink Flamingos (1972) - Uncut VHS Preservation (Released)
Time

The Blu-ray coming from criterion has a 4K scan. The Film they scanned was the EXACT same film that John waters (The director) used to splice and edit the film together. That exact print they scanned was in John Waters’ attic for decades. unless criterion cut scenes from that scanned print (Which I highly doubt they did)
seeing that criterion released “Salo: or the 120 days of sodom”, I think it’s safe to say that Pink Flamingos will be the uncut version. thankfully.
Hope this helps.
Can’t wait to see the new restoration from criterion because PF is one of my favourite films of all time.
