Hello There.
Hello There.
I’m a little late to the party - My current links to the edits no longer work, could you send me a PM to final version.
PM link, thanks.
Here’s a little demo of the civilian fleet, with the original audio subdued to let the comms be much more audible than they’ll be in the final product.
(There’s a shot missing visually, but don’t mind that.)

Is this how it will sound in final film or am I misunderstanding
I assume most won’t agree with this idea, but I think flipping the Vader’s castle shot might help in it’s favour in looking more original/unique to Rise Of Skywalker and less comparable to the Rogue One - Biomes shot.
Hey everyone,
Well, I managed to find some time last night to at least get a first pass out!

pw: faneditI sent over the project files to Nev (including C4D files and models) so he can integrate any color correction or other tweaks he’d like to make.
Great work, looks absolutely perfect. Such a small detail but could we possibly remove Director Krennic’s shuttle? It’s parked just outside the castle, I may be able todo it if someone sends me the footage.
Seems unlikely due to the crackly saber which has a handful of sequences remaining.
I could put out a workprint that would be viewable, omitting changes that aren’t complete.
Honestly I think the wait is worth it, we all want whats best for the edit so it can be in the best shape possible.
Not familiar with all the changes being made to ROTJ revisited and whats been talked about, thought this could make for an interesting discussion / edit possibility, its a composite of both Sebastion Shaw and Hayden Christensen to represent how Anakin would realistically looking during ROTJ.

An old idea for C-3POs internal UI, to represent the memory restoration. concept isn’t very good but definitely think there could’ve be been a great way of doing this.
Old concept: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/501825149469851659/729377848967561276/PicsArt_07-05-06.46.59.jpg
If he has his prequel memories this whole time why wouldn’t he restore them before?
If the sort of montage we could create was what was in the movie I’d have rolled my eyes.
I’d rather see some internal data with some symbols rather than cheesy footage
I believe you guys that there’s a second ignition in there, but even listening closely for it, for the life of me I can’t hear it. I always figured the lack of an ignition sound was just for non-diegetic dramatic effect.
It honestly sounds like pitch is a lot higher than usual no idea
Hi. I don’t read all the messages of this thread, and the last time I saw TROS was in the cinema, so I have a question (if you guys doesn’t bothered to answer): In the scene of Luke and Leia training, what’s the difference between the new dialogue from this edit and the original dialogue from the movie? Just curious to know what improvement you are making on the scene, and how it helps to improve the film as a whole
I believe it just removes “the death of her son” to now just being “the end of her jedi path”. Ontop of that Leia now wields a purple saber as requested by Carrie Fisher in an interview before her passing.
Is the the Skywalker blade still going to be cracked in V2?
Does anyone know if Threepio’s restoration is being cut from V2? - honestly been hard to work out whats happening with certain decisions recently; Hope it stays quite liked the scene.

This is great, really improves the pacing of the scene and adds more reassurance from Leia.
I still think this is the best version.
Great work either way.
By far best one I’ve heard, as great as it would be, I don’t think ‘Birth’ is worth it with how it sounds. It’s better to just eliminate ‘death’ on It’s own.
We already have a deepfake ideas thread. Isn’t this one redundant?
I’m sorry that the existence of this thread bothers you.
Felt Inspired by The Mandalorian, created a Luke Skywalker deepfake using some old 90’s dialogue from Mark Hamill that was for a book commerical. Since my deepfakes don’t look 100% realistic; It’s a hologram.

This Luke impression isn’t the best, but perhaps they can pull ofF the ‘Birth’ part in the line we’ve been trying to fix.
Here is a compilation I made for the Rey Nobody version. I’ll also post this to that thread. Let me know if it works.

Onboard with a restructure similar to this, works well. Have been hoping for Palpatine’s hologram call with Pryde to salvaged with the elimination of Kajimmi destruction I like how it cuts back to the memory restoration scene.
Can I have a link to this and ESB: Revisited?
…
Error - [For some reason my post duplicated]
This is a very random out of the box idea, but was thinking it could have been interesting if it was revealed that all the Sith troopers were the original clone trooper template from the prequels, Temura Morrison. Probably no way to properly execute it in film other than perhaps giving some of them the clone distinctive audio during the final battle and perhaps finding a way to mention a clone army.
Experiment with the deleted Palpatine line - “You’re journey nears it’s end.”
Basic placement idea.

Theres a removed line featured in the TROS D23 Special Look, where Palpatine tells Rey “You’re journey, nears It’s end”. Any ideas where it could have possibly fit in the film. Was initially thinking it could be implemented during Rey’s vision while training in the jungle as a subtle echo of his voice calling out to her.

During the approuch shot on Exegol that was extended with ILM footage, with all the ships flying towards the Final Order fleet. Perhaps a couple more ship sounds could be added?
