That looks good, I think the displacement is just a little too high for such a brief shot, could be interesting to show Finn’s skull for less than a second instead of it hitting him like one of those other concepts

And I hate to be a wet blanket, but Rey using lightning on Finn doesn’t strike me as feeling right for that moment. It could’ve been scripted that way, but with what we have to work with Finn still flies backward and Rey doesn’t blink about any of it.

Yeah I’m not a big fan of Rey using force lighting on Finn, feel like it would probably look weird especially since ILM force lighting is hard to replicate unless you do it in Nuke

Has there been any consideration for edits referencing the new Snoke origin from Vader comic, involving Luke’s hand? Could be interesting addition somewhere on Exegol. I know It’s not actually confirmed but we know Luke’s severed limb was there anyway.

Version 3 of Jon’s force ghost edit is great, I think It’ll please a lot of people who wanted some of those other characters included for their personnel edits etc. I do think the V2 force Ghost sequence that we already have with Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda and Luke should remain the same prefer the simplicity.

That’s an interesting concept, It’s a shame how short the Exegol sequence is given it was the final installment, it falls really short when you compare it to Rogue One which is almost what you’d think a small spin-off amongst a massive franchise, Scarif some how got a well paced 45 minute final sequnce vs the franchise conclusion feeling rushed and only getting 20, any small extensions to Exegol by my opinion would really improve things.

If someone is willing to render the ties as a transparent mov or on a coloured backdrop I can composite better ties into the scene, I wasn’t 100% confident about them either but needed to see what you guys think first.

First Order Tie Fighter 3D model I have isn’t that good either, just grabbed something of Sketchfab because the Battlefront II models I have aren’t working for me.

Tried adding some pine trees and Volcanic activity to the Vader’s castle shot, but not found anything as of yet that feels right for this particular shot in those regards so didn’t render with it. Currently have tested out backdrop Tie-Fighters for a flyby and added small camera motion as requested. Stock footage is hard to work in-terms finding a way to composite / implement Lava footage, if anyone has any ideas on that note can still test things out.

My friend sent me this Nihilus Exegol edit Dr Cornelius made, I believe its on one of the other IX edit topics.

I personally really like the inclusion of subtle SW references like this, some will say stuff like this is too minuscule and unnecessary to bother including, just disappointing we didn’t get more tie-ins like this in the Sequels feels like the Prequel era and other points in timeline were erased/forgotten.

I was thinking it would only be used for a couple seconds in the sequence; you can’t really see tree slant unless it plays for entirety, Gonna test out Tie’s and possibly some small hints of the planets volcanic past using either fire, small lava burst or smoke plumes.

I personally prefer the way this concept looks over your newest version. I know it is still a work in progress, but the the branches, the sky, the angle of the castle, it’s really spooky. You may have no done that original concept, though.

Yeah I’m still replicating the original concept, my friend and I made it some time ago, so right now It’s just about getting lightning / clouds right.

Started compositing Vader Castle shot for my personnel version today, just tweaking the lighting and mist levels to match the film right, I’ll probably leave a download link somewhere on here when It’s finished if anyone on here still wants it.

Just being bluntly honest the Vader’s castle shot just looks ripped from Rogue One, doesn’t feel naturally part of the sequence in my opinion, Tie’s especially stick out as clearly over layed and not tracked in properly,

However I do really want to see it. Would like to see something else composited together similar to the Naboo / Coruscant shots for Vader’s castle rather than directly taking footage from RO.
