How did you think things would play out in episode III?
Time

Your statement that you thought some of Episode III's plot should have happened in Episode II really forms the core of my argument for why III may possibly be the worst of the three prequels, despite everyone saying it's the best:

It tries to do everything that all three prequels should have done, in the span of one movie.  I and II are almost entirely unnecessary.  Anakin's turn should have happened at the end of II (or we believe Anakin dies at the end of II), and III should have revolved around the repercussions of this, the rise of Darth Vader, and the beginning of his Jedi extermination campaign.

Instead, we got all the events that should have happened during the course of three films that span many years, happening in two hours over the span of, what, a couple weeks?

Until lucasfilm issues a offical Press Release on what to exspect in the set and what kind of quality the finished product will be we just won't know.

1) None of us here would trust such a press release.  What, if it was going to be shitty quality do you think they would say so?  They won't even admit the obvious faults of the 2004 DVDs, and they've had six years to do so.

2) If the Blu-Rays are good quality, good for them.  But I won't be happy, because they won't be the versions I care about - they'll be the 2011 SE's, not the 1977, 1980, and 1983 theatrical cuts.  I'll never be happy with anything Star Wars until those versions are restored, no matter how good the quality of the latest version is.

3) Since you're so fond of asking "What if they're fixed," I'm going to pose a question to you:

What if they're not fixed?

Correct viewing order of ALL official Star Wars related movies / series ?
Time

The correct order is the order in which they were released:

1977 - Star Wars (aka Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope)
1978 - The Star Wars Holiday Special
1980 - Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
1983 - Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
1984 - The Ewok Adventure (aka Caravan of Courage)
1985 - Star Wars: Ewoks (Season 1)
1985 - Star Wars: Droids
1985 - Ewoks: The Battle for Endor
1986 - Droids: The Great Heep
1986 - Star Wars: Ewoks (Season 2)
1999 - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
2002 - Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
2003 - Star Wars: Clone Wars (Seasons 1 and 2, DVD Volume One)
2005 - Star Wars: Clone Wars (Season 3, DVD Volume Two)
2005 - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
2008 - Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Theatrical Film)
2008-Present - Star Wars: The Clone Wars (TV Series)

Personally, I'd just stop at 1983, while also skipping 1978, but that's just me.

If you're already a fan, then hey, go ahead and watch them in any order you want.  But any chronological order just would not work for anyone who's never seen any Star Wars.
