I’m really impressed with this edit. I personally did not enjoy this movie originally, in large part due to the way it tried to incorporate humor. This version manages to keep the genuinely funny moments without ruining the tone of the movie or disrupting the flow. The removal of certain scenes and sub-plots are also done in a way that their absence is not noticed. This edit gives the movie that ‘Star Wars’ feeling it was missing.

On a very minor note, I thought that it was out of place for Fin to still say Rose’s name when he is leaving his crashed ship on Crait, since in this version they don’t have any established connection other than both being in the resistance. I think it would be better if he says nothing at all here.

I will definitely be using this edit whenever I feel like revisiting the new trilogy from now on.

A trilogy might have been a bit much, but it definitely would have been interesting to see what a Star Wars spy movie would have looked like. I’m happy with what we ended up getting though.
