Blade Runner: The Complete Music Collection (work-in-progress)
Time

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy, focuspuller!  I've not had the experience myself, but imagine it to be life-changing...for the better.  Plenty of sleepless nights at first, though, I'm sure.

The 'project' will keep 'til you've caught up.  I'm certainly not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.  I couldn't even achieve one percent of what you've done so far, so I'll be really exited if it turns up one day...in the mean time...enjoy the time with your little girl.  I recommend lots of photos or movies...they grow up quick at that age!!

I'm impressed with how many sources you have at your disposal

...and how!!  (...by which I mean 'Absolutely'!)  All following this thread I'm sure are extremely grateful, focuspuller.  You can be sure that many more will owe you a great deal when your project is complete.  Thank you.

Thanks, focuspuller for all the updates.  I've really been enjoying the technically side regarding individual tracks, even if it does go a little over my head.  With all the work you've been putting in, I wouldn't think of burdening you with more, but some 'notes' with the final product, even if brief, would be a fascinating read.  I must say that your cover's looking VERY classy and would also complement the project in a tasteful way.  Many of the previous 'unofficial' releases...and even a lot of official CDs have too much clutter on the covers, which can draw the attention away from the main 'interest' within.  Oh my goodness.  I just can't wait.  But I shall enjoy waiting...thank you, once again.

Each track is now listed indicating a basic idea of progress.

Also, the track Dr. Tyrell's Owl has been remastered and expanded from 3:48 to 3:51.

Blimey.  Seeing the tracklist really gives me an idea of just how much work must be going into this project!  I'll try not to keep enquiring, but you know how it is when you're really looking forward to something.  Wish I could help!

Keeping the thread alive, rather than pestering...we're on your side 'focuspuller'!  I downloaded the samples successfully for the first time and will listen to them during my lunchbreak, tomorrow..  Can't wait!

...tell a lie, I just listened at home.  My goodness...what a beautiful stereo image to 'Unicorn' & the 'Main Theme & Prologue', even as MP3 samples.  I just immersed myself in them and nearly drifted away!  Made me want to watch the film AGAIN!  Do DVD's wear out?

The Blade Runner music does not belong to a "Blade Runner music group" , or groups, or Vagnelis group, or groups, or anyone that considers themselves an elite fan. This music belongs to ALL Blade Runner and Vangelis fans. For ALL fans to enjoy, reflect on, and even perhaps be inspired by. This music does not belong to the smoky back rooms of over-priced rip-off bootlegs, or even to elite and exclusive chat rooms, music groups, and fan clubs. Or myself.

In the end, this is the music of Vangelis. It is only my wish to present his music as best as I possibly can, my sole intention to preserve and amplify that which he has created.

I do so with great love and respect for the composer and his work.

Truly worthy sentiments, respecting an astonishing collection of music by a great artist.

It's clear that you have a great deal of respect for Vangelis' work and certainly this soundtrack in particular.  I very much look forward to hearing the results after what is clearly an intense labour of love.  I can't thank you enough.  Good luck with your continuing efforts.  I can hardly wait, but the anticipation will just make enjoying the treasure of the end product (not a fitting choice of word) all the more intense.  Take your time...and thank you!
