RETURN OF THE JEDI - DESPECIALIZED EDITION HD v3.0

Here’s a list of all the audio options available in both the 4K and HD versions of Return of the Jedi Despecialized Edition v3.0.
Big thanks to hairy_hen, schorman, Mavimao and CatBus!

Forgive my ignorance, but I can’t seem to access this list. Can someone point me in the direction of where I can find the list of audio options on 3.0? Thank you.

I don’t know what kind of discs they are using other than their claim to be dual layered 50GB discs with a special water and scratch resistant coating. For me $20 per disc doesn’t seem egregious, but as I said, if a member here would like to spread some holiday cheer my way, my PM is open.

The harm: Lucasfilm/Disney only leaves us alone because nobody is profiting and they don’t see us as a threat to their revenue. If they start to see people selling these projects, they may crack down on us harder. It’s also just morally messed up to profit off of other people’s hard work they are providing for free.

Skill: it’s not hard to do. Just need to take a few minutes to learn.

Equipment: really not expensive nowadays.

There may be members willing to do that, but again, I think it’s worth the time and small investment to learn to do it yourself.

I agree that it’s morally questionable for a third-party to profit off Harmy’s work. However, they are providing a service and/or product that’s not easily obtainable elsewhere. (I am specifically talking about LDS Entertainment here).

I don’t know how much their cost is for sourcing blank BD-50 discs, cases, ink, high quality paper, printers, disc authoring software, plus S&H. Maybe $60 for three discs is a bit high, but they do bear significant costs in creating the finished product. For me, a non-tekkie with an old B&W HP printer, I do see value in having a competent party author and press the discs for me with (somewhat professional) menus and artwork.

I guess I have a slightly different take on this. I’ve had Harmy’s files for years, and don’t see the harm in paying for pressed discs with menus, artwork, etc. I don’t have the skill set or equipment necessary for making nice pressed discs with kick-ass artwork and animated menus.

If there are any members willing to hook me up with a set of physical Harmy discs for the cost of materials and postage, by all means contact me.

Yes, I read that post:

CONTAINER: MKV

SIZE: 15.7GB

Just wasn't sure why it is so much larger than the Despecialized ESB and ROTJ.  I guess that's the right one then.

The 15.7 GB MKV is the 2.0 version. It just hasn't been converted to Bluray format for burning.

Myspleen also has the AVCHD and DVD5 versions, so pick what you want. I got the AVCHD because the rest of the trilogy (albeit only 1.0) is also AVCHD.

Suffice it to say that any version is good. But as has been said, 2.1 is coming out soon so be prepared to download again as it has lots of improvements over 2.0.

Thanks for your replies.  I got the 2.0 for ANH and the 1.0 for t'others, as I don't intend to burn them.  Rather, I keep them on a Harmy-dedicated 32 GB USB thumb drive for portability and ease of use.  I renamed the files with a IV, V, and a VI, preceeding each title, and as one ends, the next one begins.  :-)  I look forward to 2.1 !
