I don’t really like changing the title of my edits, so probably not. If I were to remove the “Rey Skywalker” line, I might consider it though (in a way using DOTF wouldn’t be too off since it is sort of an official title in a couple ways).

Personally I’d love to add Ben Solo as a ghost, but I don’t really have the know-how to do it, and I’ve yet to see anyone else do a polished version of it to the extent that I’d include it.

As much as I wished they had gone the Finn/Poe romance route, I don’t think there’s a way to make it work. The celebration edit is a cute idea but there wouldn’t be any set up for it.

I’m not sure about the old lady interaction on a few different levels. It’s something that’ll have to be played around with.

Thanks for the response. Whatever you ultimately decide, I can’t wait to see it. It feels good to actually have hope for this film again.

Do you have any plans for the Hux/Pryde lacklustre plot?

I saw that user Krausfadr moved the Finn and Poe play chess with Chewie scene to the end of the movie when Rey lands on Tattooine to establish that she didn’t go alone. Not sure about the etiquette of using someone else’s edit, but I thought it was a fantastic addition that would fit well with your falcon take-off final shot.

Also, what are your thoughts on changing the title to Duel of the Fates, as in the Treverrow version? It could make using the music track in the duel even more effective.

If it were possible, would you consider adding Ben Solo as a ghost in the final scene? Alternatively, I’ve seen some speculate that due to the nature of the force dyad, Ben and Rey’s spirits are now one inside of her. Is this be something you would be interested in subtly implying? Perhaps by mixing in some of the hopeful parts of ‘Torn Apart’.

Sign me up to the list of “make Finn and Poe more gay”. I saw someone suggest using Poe’s sex eyes towards Zorii with a shot of Finn, has anyone seriously tried this? Perhaps even using a behind the scenes shot if there is an appropriate one. If it works, it could even add subtext to the chess scene at the end of the movie I mentioned earlier.

Might I suggest as well in the finale cutting the “Rey who?” question. I know it’s setup in Pasaana but it’s a very weird question to ask a random stranger. I would suggest:

“Who are you?”
“I’m Rey…”
look at force ghosts
“…Rey Skywalker”

Anyway, very much looking forward to seeing this. All of your clips so far seem top notch.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but Vader's eyebrows need some fine tuning as they are obviously from a different source. Other than that, amazing work, can't wait for the v2.

One problem you might have, a large amount of the plot of Star Wars revolves around the Death Star plans in R2 so you would have to find a way to work those into the finale of Jedi.
