So, are all the Stormtroopers from IV-VI clones?..
Time
Actually, we have discussed this before but it was well over a year ago. It would be nice to have new input from all the rest who have joined since then.

What I posted before on the topic is that Stormtroopers are not all clones. Some may be, but not all. The reason why they are not clones anymore is that an army was needed quickly and they didn't have time to recruit and train, so they built genetically, hence the Clonetroopers in AOTC and ROTS. However, as the prestige and renown of the Clonetroopers spread with the birth of the Empire, the need to create them waned as people wanted to sign up (or they could have instituted a draft, who knows?). So they now have an army of whatever happens to fit the uniform. This also helps to explain why Stormtroopers are such bad shots and have different voices than Jango and his clones who all sounded the same and were great shots (as I recall)... they're human (arguably) and quite fallible.

It's just like RC car racing these days. You have to struggle to find a build-it-yourself RC car kit. All of them are prebuilt and ready to go out of the box. What is the fun in that? I want to build it. That's where all the learning comes from so you can upgrade it later on. If you don't know how to put it together, you will never be able to take it apart to replace parts and still be able to reassemble it.

My friend has a different theory entirely. By making someone as enormously left leaning as Dean the chairman, he makes Hillary Clinton look centrist by comparison which could expand her appeal beyond party lines for the 2008 election. He thinks they're gunning for her to be the next Dem candidate.

That's not a family-oriented act?!?!??! NO!!!!

Dinner for Five with Mark Hamill
Time
Dunno if this was mentioned as a post in some other thread. If so, I couldn't find it and I'm sorry. But still and all the same for everyone else like myself who didn't know...

Dinner for Five, an IFC show hosted by Jon Favreau, just taped an upcoming episode which will feature guest hosts Mark Hamill, Kevin Smith, JJ Abrams (of Alias and Lost fame), Jason Lee, and Stan Lee.

I don't have an airdate yet. If anybody else finds one, post it here. Should be interesting to watch.

I wonder if we'll hear anything about the SW TV show since Hamill and Smith were rumored to be collaborating on it together.

He was quite groundbreaking with his online efforts. He used one site (meetup.com) that arranges for meetings of likeminded individuals who otherwise don't know each other within a specific geographic region to allow them to come together to further promote his campaign. His website was very well done. Better than any other candidate's site I've ever seen.

Very incredible stuff.

And then he blew it with something stupid.

Funny how the liberals blasted him for being such an idiot and throwing it all away and then they go and make him the chair of the DNC.

Clark was the retired general.

Well that was pretty friggin' stupid now, wasn't it? Why would you recommend it sight unseen? Especially since you knew nothing about it?

Aye aye aye.

UPCOMING DVDs
Time
It was a repeat episode. Commercials on TV and radio kept hyping the two-hour finale making it sound like it was this week. Turns out they've still got three regular episodes (May 4, 11, and 18) and a special episode (April 27) left before the two-hour finale on May 25. Pissed me off when I found out. Makes a lot more sense though. Couldn't figure out why they would air the finale for one of their most popular shows in a non-Sweeps month.
