As much as I would love to believe that the post that McCartneyFan pulled from Amazon is actually from an LFLer with inside knowledge, I just don't believe it. With all the web trolling that LFL does to maintain secrecy and force people to pull images from unreleased films, etc., I doubt he would let someone "from the inside" get away with posting that information. He has ways of finding out who says what and that "insider" would likely not be an employee anymore.

It is a nice thought, though. One can definitely hope.

Ah. Gotcha. I just remember Pullman because he looks just like a guy I used to work with. In fact, I'm not the only one who has told him that. And, ironically enough, a couple of paintings that my Pullman-esque friend painted were rented for use in the movie While You Were Sleeping starring Pullman (you can see one of them in the widescreen version of the movie as a wall hanging in Peter Gallagher's apartment)

What happened to the 'used' universe?

No, but in the midst of war, polishing the chrome on your ship is the least of your worries. For Lando, it was another thing. He is a businessman, and getting people to invest in your company or buy your product is all about presentation. That's why Bespin was so clean by comparison. It's for show and for the sake of "first impressions." He's not directly fighting in the war although he is affected by it.

This is why the ships are no longer clean in Ep III as opposed to Eps I and II. In those, the war hadn't really begun in full scale yet. Ships are clean. Now you're in a war and you are fighting and your only concern is the maintenance of the ships to make sure they work. Beauty takes a backseat to functionality.

Do you really think the soldiers in Iraq are polishing the chrome on their Humvees?

The statement "Star Wars was great. Nobody had ever bothered to make something so realistic before," is incorrect. 2001 was more realistic, and debuted 9 years earlier.

But, as I said, I was using the term "realistic" to mean the fluidity of movement and the realistic look of the ships in space. Nobody had done that before. I should have been clearer about that, but I wasn't.

I couldn't tell you for sure if retail Waterpics have settings dials or not. I don't go near the things anymore, for obvious reasons. When I was in college, I had severe headaches from a wax buildup in my ear and went to the university's health services center to have it cleaned out. I saw them prepping a Waterpic and told them "no way." The doctor said she didn't know how to do it otherwise. I said find someone else who does and proceeded to explain my brother's story to her. She got another doctor.

I've sadly come to the conclusion that they don't.

Coming from inside the U.S. I would have to say that I agree. A good 90-95% of U.S. citizens don't care about the world outside our borders unless it affects them personally. The amount of "extraborder" knowledge has gone up since 9/11, admittedly. But still not to the level that other countries have of us or of each other.

Danielle Fishel (Longshot) Zachary Ty Bryan (The Rage: Carrie 2) Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie) Seann Williams Scott (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) Carrie Fisher/Mark Hamill.

Happy birthday, Topanga!

Her Boy Meets World castmate, Rider Strong.

I guess I'm lucky with Longshot. It was only a video release in the U.S. but was on the big screen in Germany. Still follows my rules. I had to check on Fishel's movies as I thought they were all DTV.
