Yeah, I have no desire to see this film. If it wasn't Stone, maybe. The Baz Luhrman version would have been interesting to see, but it's been dropped.

Nile, did you hear that some Greek Historical Society is suing the production house about the whole bisexuality issue? They claim that there is no historical documentation saying that Alexander was really bi, so they want a disclaimer in the credits saying that this movie is a figment of Hollywood's imagination and that the historical truth behind it is limited. Just read the article about it yesterday.

Oh, and a film regarding Hannibal is in the scripting stages from what I've read. But that was like two years ago.

Chris Columbus did a great job with his participation in the casting of the first two films. He captured my mental image of all the characters perfectly. However, not until Cuaron came around were the mood and setting captured perfectly as well. Prisoner is my fave of the bunch. I bought it yesterday, too. In addition to the two Seinfeld sets, U2's new album, and ONXRT Live From the Archives Vol. 7 (Chicago radio station live compilation). Expensive day.

As I recall, yes. I think maybe it spun the source spool as well as the feeder spool in the tray. Most cassette decks only mechanically rotate the feeder spool while the source spool just spins freely in time with the feeder spool. However, since the 8 Track adaptor worked this way, it wound up feeding tape faster than the feeder could spool it up. Voila! Instant magnetic tape bottleneck.

My parents had an 8 Track component on their home stereo system. We had a little adapter tray that could fit audio cassettes. However it never worked right and wound up eating so damn many cassettes that we pitched it.

Sessler, yep, as in Chia Pets. I took our avatars and added Chia hair to them and turned them into little promos for Chia Pets. Kinda funny. After doing one or two of them, I was actually receiving requests from people to see themselves immortalized as Chias.

And if you visit this site -- Target 2-day Sale Wake-Up Call -- you can receive a wake-up call for a Target two-day sale from Ice-T, Cheech Marin, Heidi Klum, a few other people I'm unfamiliar with, and Lord Vader. Wonder if they got James Earl Jones to actually do the voice or if it's just some hack voice actor. Likely the latter.
