Is it wrong to name your kids after a Star Wars character?
Time
I pray that the child has her husband's last name. Cocoa Arquette would be so much better than Cocoa Cox. Sounds like a bad breakfast cereal. One of the funniest things I remember regarding Courtney Cox was an interview that Andy Dick gave to a Chicago radio station. He was asked if he had ever turned down a role that he regretted. He said he was offered the role that David Arquette had in the Scream movies. He's upset about it because he now realizes that he would be married to Courtney Cox and her name would be Courtney Cox-Dick as a result. I'm no Andy Dick fan, but that was damn funny.

I hate some of the names that celebrities give to their kids. Apple for Gwyneth Paltrow/Chris Martin's daughter? What the hell is that?

That is a definite possibility. But I think that both references are so unlikely to be made that the name is safe regardless. Unlike Leia. With that spelling, it's destined to evoke SW imagery. Hell, I've got the name BOSSK on my license plate and only one person in 8 years has made the connection. I think Bossk is more likely to be tied to SW than Jaina.

I remember reading a fake proposal some years back that the Utah Jazz and the New Orleans Saints should just swap names. Stay in the same cities, but swap names. Utah Saints and New Orleans Jazz make so much more sense.

But I'm also of the opinion that the St. Louis Blues should be a Chicago name. Chicago is the home of the blues. If not literally, then figuratively as well in terms of sports conquests of late.

Why is Calgary Flames not relevant? What does the name refer to?

But you'd have to spell it Jason to be consistent with the whole Jason and the Argonauts. At least in English that's the spelling.

Jaina is a pretty normal name. Mara works. Leia works as well. If you are concerned with them receiving SW taunts, then respell them. Leah is a very normal name and spelling. One of my old college roommates was named Leah (yes, female).

REPLACEMENT DVD COVERS

But if you go to that site, make sure to look for 300dpi covers. Anything less will look pixellated even on the best printer. It's a crapshoot to find 300 dpi covers, but they do exist on that site. I downloaded a couple for some movies I got as freebies from Pizza Hut (or was it Dominos?) and I was actually able to sell them as used DVDs to a store they were that high a quality scan.
