Typographical errors are a facked of life ;-)

We all do it so please be kind to each other's mistakes.

Piett isn't Vader, the Tydirium had an older code so he was a bit suspicious about it, he freely admits he would have let them pass anyway but he picks up on Vader's hesitation and speaks up.

Vader on the other hand knows Luke is there but wants him to land without making a fuss about it (Vader doesn't seem to be the type to chin-wag with his underlings on his coffee break).

The line seals it.

Piett was about to clear them even with the older code and after hearing where they were going.  There is no hint of suspicion on Piett's part, IMO.  To me, the scene almost plays as if Piett goes through this all the time with Vader and is playing along as Vader stares off into the distance for a minute or two.  Why is Piett even doing this, since the Executor probably doesn't hang around the DS2 all the time.  Shouldn't the DS have its own group to handle this?

The new shuttle design comes from the idea that Vader and Palpatine should have executive shuttles and the Rebels having the same design for "parts and technical" seems rather odd.  You'd think they'd have an older shuttle to go with their older code, and for a design we've never seen until this movie (SE notwithstanding), it just makes sense to have an older/different design, at least to me.

I can see why they wanted to give the shuttle model a lot of screen time (it was expensive and it looked great) but shuttle says personnel to me and since the SE we have had the larger transporter which screams materiel at me.

It's sufficently obscured in ANH:SE to get away with using the cockpit of the shuttle as the cockpit of the transporter so all we would need would be a new model.

A new craft for the Emperor creates problems because the underside of the set would have to match any new model you make (which would mean not only making a new matte or model but designing one that matches the bottom of the shuttle).

Removing the shuttle status from the Tydirium frees up some nice shots of the model to use on Vader's landing or Palpatine's landing for added impact.

but you're forgetting, the fact that Han says they are conveying parts and supplies is the reason Piett and Vader know they are lying, so the shuttle should stay as it is.

If we want/need to vary the overused shuttle design, it's far simpler to alter the Emperor's shuttle as it's only seen as a matte painting and then a couple of shots of the terrible studio mock-up. That can be replaced far more easily.

I don't know where you got that idea from.

Piett is sceptical because the code is older and he is possibly picking up on Vader's hesitation (people have been choked for less).

If possible I'd alter the dialogue so Vader says,"Your mother once thought as you do" but even without it the waterfall (and maybe with a snippet of a delicate version of Across The Stars) would be enough to get the idea across.

I don't have a problem with Vader's shuttle but I do think that Tydirium should be a transporter because it's cover is transporting parts and supplies and a bigger ship would allow for more Rebel troops and materiel in the ground battle.

I had a little go with a smaller waterfall :

Another waterfall

The Uzay stuff is great. Reminds me of my Space Power Warrior. (Vader knock-off) I'll have to take a pic of it sometime. Got it at the dollar store. :)

Oh, so many Darth Phonies to choose from (no not just Jake and Hayden):

If only we could get them all in one scene, it would be the cat fight of the century.

I think she's bewildered and happy at the sudden resurgence in her fame/bank balance (most of which she will probably give away to her boys and the various other charities she supports) not bad for a 92 year old.

She also took those bloodthursty guttersnipes, the BNP to court for using her music to promote it's vile perverted politics.

A national treasure.

If only she could get together with Joanna Lumley and run the country.

"Always with you it can not be done"

The reflections are doable.

The film has forward footage from the biker's point of view, loop it, flip it and you have a reflection element.

Take the same footage and render it as a silhouette and you have a tree shadow element (after a bit of distortion).

It doesn't have to be very accurate as most of the footage doesn't need reflections and those that do are mercifully short (the bikers are also not wearing mirrored lenses so that can hide a lot of kludging).

It's not easy but it's not impossible.
